        피부장벽에 대한 Bio-Mimic Liquid Crystal Emulsion (BLCE)의 긍정적 효과에 관한 연구

        최근 기능성화장품과 피부관련 의약품 분야에서 multi-lamellar와 liquid crystal의 구조가 커다란 관심을 끌고 있다. 결합수와 고정된 유상을 함유하는 multi-lamellar 구조는 피부의 세포간지질의 lamellar 구조의 재건과 보습을 유지하는 작용으로써 보습기능이나 장벽기능의 복구에 우수하며, 이 지질들은 각질층에 침투하여 유지된다. 본 연구에서 고급 지방 알코올, 레시틴, 콜레스테롤을 사용하여 제조한 bio-mimic liquid crystal emulsion (BLCE)의 피부장벽 기능을 측정하였고 일반적인 계면활성제와 세포독성을 비교하였다. The multi-lamellar and liquid crystal structures have drawn great public attention in the functional cosmetic and skin-related medicinal areas recently. The structure of an emulsion containing aqueous phase as a binding water and fixed oil phase components forming an association compound of the multi-lamellar structure can reconstruct the intercellular lipid lamellar structure in the stratum corneum and restore barrier function of the skin. In this study, we investigated the beneficial effect of bio-mimic liquid crystal emulsions (BLCE) containing higher fatty alcohol, lecithin, and cholesterol on the skin barrier function, and evaluated its cytotoxicity.

        신규한 Palmitoyl Tripeptide의 피부 주름개선 효과에 관한 연구

        콜라겐은 포유동물의 가장 풍부한 동물성 단백질로, 전체 단백질의 약 30 %를 차지하며, 결합 조직에 존재하며 대부분의 장기의 구조적 지지에 기여한다. Tripeptide (glycine-proline-hydroxyproline; INCI name Tripeptide-29)는 collagen type I의 주성분이며, palmitoyl tripeptide (palmitoyl-glycine-proline-hydroxyproline; INCI name Palmitoyl Tripeptide-29)는 콜라겐의 합성을 촉진하는 항노화 물질로서 디자인된 합성소재이다. 합성된 펩타이드 유도체는 HPLC를 이용하여 분석하였다. in vitro test를 통하여 콜라겐합성과 섬유아세포 증식 효능을 확인하였고, 비침습적 기기를 사용하여 피검자에 대한 8주간의 적용결과 피부주름과 탄력의 상당한 개선을 확인하였다. Palmitoyl tripeptide는 우수한 항노화 효능을 갖는 화장품 소재로 사료된다. Collagen is the most abundant animal protein in mammals, accounting for about 30 % of all proteins. It is present in connective tissue and contributes to the structural framework of most organs. The tripeptide (glycine-proline-hydroxyproline) with the INCI name Tripeptide-29 is main component of collagen type I. The palmitoyl tripeptide (palmitoyl-glycine-proline-hydroxyproline) with the INCI name Palmitoyl Tripeptide-29 is a synthetic material that was designed as a topical agent to stimulate collagen production. We synthesized the palmitoyl tripeptide as a potential anti-wrinkle compound. This compound has been characterized using HPLC. This compound proved, through in vitro tests, to stimulate collagen production and fibroblast proliferation. These results were very promising, so human studies were subsequently performed. We investigated the skin improvement effect of the palmitoyl tripeptide on human skin by using non-invasive instruments. We measured physiological effects such as skin wrinkles and elasticity after volunteers applied the cosmetic products for 8 weeks. We observed significant improvement in skin wrinkles and elasticity after use of the cosmetic products for 8 weeks. We concluded that the palmitoyl tripeptide had an anti-aging effect on human facial skin.

        일부 성인의 치과 공포감 관련 요인

        Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the related factors to dental fear in some adults. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 320 adults in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do from April to June, 2013. Except 14 incomplete answers, data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 program. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(7 questions), dental fear related factor(18 questions), distrust for dentist(15 questions), and distrust for dental hygienist(11 questions). The instrument for dental treatment fear was Dental fear Survey(DFS) adapted from Kleinknecht and partly modified by Choi. Out of 20 questions, 18 questions were reconstructed and score by Likert 5 scale. Higher score means higher dental fear. Cronbach alpha was 0.959 in the study. The distrust for dentist and dental hygienist was adapted from Choi and reconstructed and score by Likert 5 scale. Higher score means higher distrust for dentist and dental hygienist. Cronbach alpha was 0.937 in distrust for dentist and 0.874 in distrust for dental hygienist in the study. Results: Those who experienced dental pain tended to have dental fear. The reasons for dental fear were as follows; bad breath(2.96 out of 5 points, hereafter represented as of 2.96/5), dental caries(2.88/5), missing teeth(2.87/5) and tooth pain(2.77/5). The distrust for the dentist was the main dental fear in the adults. Conclusions: The dental fear was closely related to gender, experience of dental pain, oral symptoms and distrust for the dentist. As the psychological pain in the patients was mainly influenced by the trustful atmosphere, it is necessary to make the patient easy before treatment.
