Since China's reform and opening-up policy, with the continuous deepening of Chinese modernization construction in socialism, although the economic development has achieved brilliant results, from the beginning of nothing to the present world's second largest economy, the deterioration of the resource environment has become more and more serious. Serious environmental pollution problems have emerged and ecological and environmental problems have become more and more prominent. These environmental problems have affected the sustainable development of China's economy and society. Xi Jinping pointed out: " In the final analysis, the issue of the ecological environment is the way of economic development." At present, China's ecological environment has become the most prominent short-board, the environmental carrying capacity has basically reached the upper limit. In order to fundamentally curb the deterioration of the ecological environment and improve the ecological environment, we must start with economic construction and truly implement the ecological civilization construction. At present, ecological civilization has become a global topic. However, due to the different development conditions of different countries, the status quo of their ecological civilization construction is also different. This requires exploring the path of ecological civilization construction in line with the national conditions of each country according to the specific conditions of each country. China should do the same. Since China's ecological civilization construction is still in its primary development stage, it is even more necessary to have a clear goal and a specific direction to guide it. Based on the theoretical achievements of ecological civilization construction at home and abroad, this paper takes the development of economic and ecology as an entry point and sorts out the relevant research context at home and abroad. This paper summarizes the lessons learned by reviewing the ecological dilemma in China's modern economic process, as well as the achievements and challenges. According to the national conditions, we propose countermeasures with concrete practical significance to explore the achievable path of ecological civilization construction in the current process of China's modernization economy.
