This study was applied virtual road load to 8ch. test which is called suspension multi axial reproduction test or half car road simulation test that can reduce vehicle development cost and test duration. Because of the limit of CAE, it was impossible to use virtual road load to 8ch. test for which local stress of individual parts is critical rather than vehicle durability test for which vehicle or wheel movement is used. Especially, it is more difficult to conduct suspension 8ch. test which is used torsion beam type rear axle. In this study, we focused to increase the reliability of 8ch. test and the correlation with other tests using new sensors which were developed to replace local stress in particular components and can be used drive file generation with high efficient and the test result was highly similar to the test which was tested with measured road load data in proving ground, and it provide the basis of application for car program under development. And also, the study can be applied and helpful to the studies for other modules or systems test method improvement which were used virtual load data.

The present study deals with the application method of reliability evaluation to an engine mount bracket based on the interference theory. The process for data acquisition to laboratory cycle development is also shown in this study. From the data acquisition for the vehicle, a normal distribution of load is analyzed As the laboratory test the strength of engine mount bracket is analyzed on the normal distribution The results show that the reliability of engine mount bracket has been assured based on the interference theory.

These days, chassis parts validation has saved time and expenses by executing bench test in the lab instead of full vehicle road test. However, it shows difficulties to demonstrate all vehicle parts motion in the full vehicle simulation test due to test boundary conditions. For that reason, component and subsystem tests are also important. Especially, there are a few boundary conditions on powertrain mounts such as engine room temperature, powertrain rolling, multi-axial input loads and so on. This study is to address one of methods to simulate powertrain rolling motion on component test and report effect of powertrain rolling motion to the powertrain mount component durability test result.

These days, accessories part validation has saved time and expenses by executing bench test in the lab. instead of full vehicle road test. However, it shows difficulties to demonstrate all vehicle parts motion in the full vehicle simulation test. Especially, trailer hitch system is hard to be reproduced in the full vehicle simulation test because it is difficult to set up the trailer in the test laboratory. To compensate these problems, several kinds of trailer hitch system tests are running in the laboratory apart from full vehicle tests. This study is to address a method to validate trailer hitch system and body attachment laboratory durability test.

These days, the road simulators in the laboratory have become a common tool within the automotive industry for evaluation and validation of vehicle durability performance. Also, all industries are rapidly changed according to the customer needs and try to do their best to apply the customer needs. So, the key of automotive industry is the reduction of the development period to adapt to the speedy change of their needs. These works are focused on rapid test results and good correlation with actual test. In this paper, using the local strain, the test drivefile was regenerated for the full vehicle road simulator and compared the RLDA, target signal. The proper local strain is necessory to generate the drivefile on full vehicle simulation test.

To do this, many automotive companies do their best at RLM (Road to Lab to Math). It results in extend the role of CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) and CAT (Computer Aided Testing). CAT work is focused on rapid test result and good correlation with real test. It is important to choose the test method for test period and test quality. Therefore, in this paper, the method to validate the vehicle durability performance is suggested using 4post road simulator.

Especially, steering gear system is hard to be reproduced in the full vehicle simulation test because it is difficult to turn the steering wheel. To compensate these problems, several kinds of steering system tests are running in the lab, apart from full vehicle tests. This study is to address a method to validate steering gear, cradle, structure and attachment system laboratory durability test.

Chassis parts of vehicle has been tried to be validated through a bench test in lab. Instead of a full vehicle test on road that a lot of time and costs are required of. In case of a bench test in lab., it is very important to correlate with full vehicle test result on road. Actually, reliability of a test depends on the correlation. Therefore, many engineers are making an efforts to have good correlation. Generally a simulation test is regarded as the most reliable test method. In this sense, durability of chassis system could be evaluated with 8ch Multi Axial Simulation Rig. 8ch test is the highest level test in lab. to evaluate torsion beam rear axle durability and it is capable to simulate 8-DOF. The study of purpose is to improve correlation of results between road and 8ch lab test for torsion beam rear axle using local strain on the part. It is also to improve correlation on lab test.
