비판적 사고력의 측면에서「법과 사회」 교과서의 탐구 활동과 학습자의 인식 분석

이 연구의 목적은 첫째, 제7차 교육과정의 「법과 사회」교과서에 수록된 탐구활동을 비판적 사고력의 측면에서 분석하고, 둘째, 학습자들이 「법과 사회」교과서의 탐구활동에 대한 인식을 조사하는 것이다. 비판적 사고력의 하위 요인을 사실과 의견의 구분, 타당한 근거 제시, 신뢰로운 정보원의 선택, 사회현상을 다양한 관점으로 조망하기, 진술의 모순이나 편견의 파악, 진술에 숨겨진 의미와 가정의 파악 능력, 문제의 본질에 적합한 평가의 준거 활용하기로 구성하였다. 비판적 사고력의 하위 요인별로 탐구 활동의 내용을 분석한 결과, ‘한 문제를 다양한 관점에서 조망하기’ 요인이 가장 높은 비율을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 학습자들의 인식을 조사한 결과에서는 학습자들이 탐구활동을 수행을 통하여 ‘한 문제를 다양한 관점으로 조망하는 능력’을 배양할 수 있다고 반응한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 교과서의 탐구활동의 분석 결과와 학습자들의 인식 조사결과는 대체로 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. This study has two objectives; first, to analyze how much the research activities in the textbook 「Law and Society」reflect critical thinking, one of the most important goals of today's social education and how it is expressed. Second, to shed light on how much emphasis was put on which areas in terms of utilizing teaching materials in order to enhance critical thinking power. The goals of Law and Society in the 7th National Curriculum are to help students to get information and knowledge through deepening learning about the law, and act as democratic citizens who can lead their daily lives with a sense of legal responsibility, respecting the universal goals of the law; justice and order. In this study, research activities are analyzed with 7 criterions; to distinguish between facts and opinions, to assert and evaluate one's opinion with appropriate and enough logical ground, to compare and analyze reliability of various sources, to think one thing from various point of views, recognize prejudice in an assertion or statement, to confirm an assumption or a hidden meaning in a statement, and to use adequate standards for evaluation to the nature of a problem and students' attitudes toward research activities in the textbook are also surveyed.
