The experimental study was carried out to evaluate the characteristics of blended-fuel and transient performance of S.I. engine under cranking and accelerating modes. We compared experimentally with gasoline fuel, M30 (methanol 30%, aromatic 42%, non-aromatic 20%) and M50 (methanol 50%, aromatic 30%, non-aromatic 20%) for performance and exhaust gas.<br/> The results show that stabilized time of blended-fuels is better than that of gasoline fuel especially HC and CO exhaust gas. Especially HC emission can be reduced to 84.3% in M30 and 48.8% in M50 respectively. And the accelerating performance coincides with the results of distillation curve and CO concentration for M50 varies little in the condition of slow acceleration.
