본 연구에서는 자문화기술지를 적용하여 연구자의 세월호 심리지원 자원봉사 경험과 문헌연구를 중심으로 “나의 세월호 재난에 대한 개입 경험은 어떠했는가?” 그리고 “재난 시 사회복지사의 역할 및 정체성은 무엇인가?”라고 하는 연구 질문에 대한 답을 찾고자 하였다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 동화 속의 새끼오리와 같이 자신을 초라하고 열등하게 느끼는 것에서 벗어나 현실과 자신을 더 잘 이해하고 통합하여 자기 소리를 내며 타인과 소통하고 공감하기 위해 최선을 다해야 한다는 것을 깨달았다. 또한 재난 속의 사회복지사는 우리 사회 속에서 발생하는 투사현상 및 부적절감과 좌절감을 극복하여야 할 것이다. 그리하여 이러한 역동으로 인해 고통 받고 있는 클라이언트들과 집단을 돕기 위해 역과업에 휘말리지 않고 일차적 과업에 집중하여야 한다. 이를 위하여 사회복지사는 직접적 서비스 제공자의 역할과, 체계연결자의 역할, 체계유지자의 역할, 연구자의 역할, 그리고 체계개발자의 역할을 감당해야 한다. 그 중에서도 특히 Bion이 설명한 담는 자/위로자의 역할을 감당할 수 있어야 할 것이다. I wanted to find some answers to the questions which are “How was my intervention experience for the Sewol Ferry disaster?”, and “What are the roles and identity of social workers during a disaster?” concentrating on the literature research and my volunteer experience for the psychological support by applying autoethnography. I have acknowledged that I need to do my best to voice myself out and to communicate and empathize with others. Also, I needed to understand and integrate myself and the reality escaping from feeling inferior and shabby just like the duckling from the fairy tale through this process. Moreover, I have concluded that social workers during the disaster should play roles such as direct service supplier, system connecter, system keeper, researcher, system developer, and especially, container by focusing on the primary tasks without distracted by unnecessary tasks to help the clients and groups that are suffering as we overcome the transference, the feeling of inappropriateness, and frustration occurring in our society.

정신보건 사회복지 실천현장의 절충주의적 상담에 대한 내용분석 연구

본 연구는 정신보건 실천현장에서 활용되는 상담이론과 상담기술에 대한 현황을 고찰하는 가운데 현장에서 실제로 적용되고 있으면서도 개념적으로 익숙하지 않은 절충주의적 상담 경향을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 부산ㆍ경남 지역의 정신보건사회복지사 22명을 대상으로 한 심층면접 자료를 기초자료로 빈도분석 방식과 기술 방식을 병행하는 내용분석방법을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 상담 과정에서 절충주의적 상담이 이루어지는 것을 발견하였고 이와 관련한 다음의 네 가지를 발견하였다. 첫째, 응답자 대부분이 절충주의적 상담에 대한 개념적 혼란을 느끼고 있으나, 14명(64%)이 자신의 상담방식을 절충주의적 상담방식으로 인식하였다. 둘째, 절충주의적 상담에 대한 개념은 ‘완벽한 이론은 없으므로 목적에 따라 더 적당한 이론을 사용한 것’으로 정의하였다. 셋째, 다양한 기법을 통합하는 ‘기술적 절충주의방식’을 가장 선호했고, 이때 주로 활용되는 것은 인지행동이론, 클라이언튼 중심, 심리사회적 이론, 임파워먼트 기법, 위기개입이론, 행동주의이론, 해결중심이론, 생태체계이론, 정신분석 등의 순이었다. 그리고 효과성 측정의 어려움 등을 제기하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 전문적인 사회복지 상담가로서의 실천역량을 강화하기 위한 방법들을 제시하였다. This study is to explore the eclectic counseling process, which social work practitioners are applying to their settings but the concepts are not used to them. To accomplish it 22 mental health social workers in Pusan and Gyungnam were interviewed using content analysis. As a result that most the participants were applying eclectic counseling approach were found and we have analyzed followings. First, most of the participants felt confused with what eclectic counseling but 14 participants(64%) recognized their counseling style as eclectic. Second, They conceptualized eclectic counseling as 'there is no perfect theory so one use more appropriate theories according to the purposes', 'one use any thing when the theory or method seems most appropriate for the client'. Third, most favored way of eclecticism by the participants is technical eclecticism, which is one integrate various methods among favored theories. Frequently used theories were cognitive behavioral theory, client centered theory, psychosocial theory, empowerment theory, crisis intervention, and etc. Lastly, the limitations of eclectic counseling and the difficulty to prove the effectiveness of counseling are discussed.
