내비게이션 디자인의 지도검색에 따른 시각적 접근법에 관한 연구

최근 내비게이션(Navigation)은 현대사회의 일상에 깊숙이 자리매김하고 있으며 점차 그 활용폭이 넓어지고 있다. 복잡해진 교통상황에 따라 차량에 길찾기용 내비게이션을 부착하는 경우를 어렵지 않게 볼 수 있으며 그 외에도 포털사이트들은 "빠른길 찾기"라는 내비게이션을 구축하여 사용자(User)에게 구체적 정보를 알려주고 있다. 이러한 내비게이션의 비약적인 발전에도 불구하고 사용자의 다양한 목적에 부흥하는 목적성과 구체성이 있는 독창적 내비게이션의 필요성에 따라 평면적 내비게이션의 단점을 극복한 3D 내비게이션에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문은 내비게이션을 활용할 임의의 한 곳을 지정하여 시각적 접근법에 따른 기존의 평면적 내비게이션과 입체적 수평적 내비게이션을 사용자 실험을 통해 연구해보았다. 그중 사용자의 접근성과 그 목적성에 부흥하는 수평적 내비게이션에 초점을 맞추어 분석하여 그 활용성에 대해 알아보았으며 그에 따른 내비게이션의 효과적인 시각적 접근법을 제안한다. Recently navigation system is settling down deep into the daily life in contemporary society and its range of utilizations grows wider and wider. Prompted by the traffic circumstances that grew even complicated it is not rare to see direction-guiding navigation devices within a car and the portal sites also set up navigation assisting pages and are providing in-depth hands-on information to the users. However in spite of such rapid developments in navigation systems their performance and uniqueness still are not up to the demand of users. In this accord there are on-going researches and developments on 3 D navigation devices that overcame the short comings of planar navigation devices and further advanced level of user oriented functionalities are in pursuit in navigation devices. This thesis has the purpose to propose effective navigation device designing by analyzing and determining the appropriate navigation among planar navigation and volumetric navigation which are the existing visualized approaches and horizontal navigation which is a visualized approach totally different from the other two after specifying one arbitrary location about which navigation will be utilized.
