공동주택 수직증축 리모델링 면적산정 최적화 알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to develop an algorithm for optimizing area calculations for remodeled apartments taking into consideration the extended floor area of existing units, total floor area of added units, vertical and/or horizontal extension, number of floors, etc. within the legal regulations for apartment remodeling. The developed algorithm was composed of an objective function to maximize extended unit area and 7 constraints related to remodeling by vertical extension as defined by current regulations. The algorithm was applied to a planned apartment remodeling proposal in order to verify its applicability and effectiveness. Overall, applying the algorithm to the project displayed similar results with the actual proposal, but for some variables showed more efficient results. This algorithm could facilitate effective decision-making for optimizing area distribution in old residential complexes which have multiple unit types and varying building conditions, as well as increase the satisfaction of residents and the business value of remodeling.

A common type of housing in South Korea are apartment units. Among researchers, apartment units are a common research subject to study the different aspects of the planning stage, structural details and construction process. During the planning stage, an often neglected, but very essential topic needing attention would be the inclusion of a checklist. Despite there being a significant amount of research available related to apartment remodeling plans, there is a lack of gathering and extrapolating necessary information to include on a checklist to consider during the initial stages of the planning process. The purpose of this study is to discuss the procedures to plan remodeling floor plans in apartment units and derive checklists that must be considered during the planning stage. Several factors were taken into consideration such as floor plans, structure, environmental performance and economical efficiency prior to creating these different checklists. After establishing a standard planning procedure and judging the suitability of each checklist, it resulted in producing 41 checklists during the eight steps of planning. To factor in vertical extension renovations, structural safety, ventilation performance and lighting performance were also covered. After completing this research, the expectation is that these checklists will be utilized in the early stages of remodeling projects and eventually as the baseline data for remodeling plans that result in floor plans that take surface, structure, environmental performance, economical efficiency and more into account.

A prototype of remodeling floor plans are proposed in this study. They are researched base on the majority floor plan type which forms 19% out of representatives 1st-Phase New Town Aged Apartment compositions. In order to examine possible scenarios of the prototypes, prototype planning model is derived from the president studies on aged apartment remodeling. The prototype plans reflect residents’ preference survey and lead 6 different kinds of prototype plans regarding 3 different remodeling scenarios. Prototypes consider characteristics of multi-complex buildings and households which applicably various remodeling planning options; story-Increase remodeling, residents custom remodeling etc. The study has significance to be basic planning materials for remodeling of association and local government.

The purpose of this study is to design guidelines for architects who are planning apartments in Iraq. These guidelines have been built based on the ‘Pattern Language’. 〈A Pattern Language〉, published by Christopher Alexander, contains 253 solutions or design patterns that recur in architecture. These patterns contain useful connective information which can be selected, modified, and combined to complete an actual design. Alexander’s ‘Pattern Language’ is a result of the search for a systematic design method. Patterns that can be applied to apartment unit planning have been selected in this research. In order to apply cultural elements to planning guidelines, traditional and modern housing cultures and spatial structure of housings in Iraq have been researched. Results from cultural studies were used to modify the selected pattern in order to build the ‘Pattern Language of Iraq Apartment Units’. Based on this pattern language, planning guidelines for Iraq apartment units have been designed. These guidelines are expected to be used as a reference for architects that are planning apartments in Iraq.

With the increase of aged apartments nationwide, many apartment complexes are being promoted for remodeling. Although floor plan proposal through remodeling is an important factor in the remodeling business, discussions regarding design processes for remodeling have not been sufficiently taking place in the academic world. This research aims to analyze the initial stage remodeling floor plan processes. In order to do so, we conducted an expert design experiment with six licensed architects on the corridor type and staircase type of a two-bay floor. The entire course of the experiment was recorded, and we analyzed the remodeling floor plan processes of each expert by processing this video. As the result, we derived the floor plan processes of six professional architects, and by putting them together, an six-step planning process. This six-step process had partial differences with the planning process considered in existing studies. The results of this study can be utilized as guidelines for apartment remodeling plans, and as basic data for subsequent researches.
노후 공동주택 리모델링 수직증축분 소형 평면 계획에 대한 연구

This study suggested practical considerations in case of planning Small-Sized Household Units of the Vertical Extension of Aged Apartment along with selecting particular Age-Apartment Complex to plan Small-Sized Household Units. Four parts of consideration; (1) Architectural planning aspects, (2) Resident aspects, (3) Structural aspects, and (4) Facility aspects were thoroughly examined to apply in the remodeling construction period. Proposals for Small-Sized Household Units, in this study, covered two different combinations. One was the combination of six equal units, the other was the combination of eleven different types of household units which reflected resident aspects in plan organizations. Plan organization proposal could be chosen and applied to Vertical Extended units by Local Government, Remodeling Association, or Constructor based on their potential residents’ aspect, such as family size, life style, age, amount to income and etc. to fulfill their satisfaction. Furthermore, this study had great significance of the adequately reflecting demand on Small-Sized Household Units in Vertical Extension of Aged Apartment.
영상을 활용한 철도역사 여객시설 내 보행자 추적조사 기법 개발

The purpose of this study is to develop a methodology to track the behavior of pedestrians in railway station passenger facilities by utilizing video clips. In order to provide comfortable and user-centered passenger facilities, an understanding of the current behavior of passengers should be prioritized through pedestrian tracking surveys. However, because railway stations become congested in a short amount of time, direct observation in situ with a limited number of researchers is difficult. Thus, utilizing video equipments was developed as a methodology for tracking the behavior of pedestrians in railway passenger facilities. This study developed a method for collecting pedestrian behavior data by utilizing video equipments and tracking pedestrian circulation. The pedestrian tracking survey was conducted using this method and applied in an actual railway station. The derived results identify the use patterns and changes in the railway station and reveal the differences with the current standard.

The purpose of this study was to review the applicability of small-sized plans on Aged Apartment Vertical Remodeling Project and to present the proposal for existing apartment complex based on its result. Combination of general units from the development of current plans and combined units of different types of small-sized plans was studied base on the masterplan, structure, construction facilities points of view. Combination of general units and the combined units was developed into 11 small-sized plans instead of keeping them in current units of 6. It needs to have few more considerations to the points of law and facilities. Yet, the study has its significance of suggesting the small-sized plans following the changes of population structure.
