        In recent, the eco-friendly Green cars such as Hybrid-Electronic vehicles, Fuel Cell vehicles and Electronic vehicles have been researched in major car makers. The one general feature of these eco-friendly vehicles is that the electronic chassis parts replace the mechanical parts. To response this changing of vehicle parts, the electronic brake systems such as EMB(Electro-Mechanical Brake) and EWB (Electronic Wedge Brake) are also researched in many suppliers. So the establishments of assessment technology for performance and reliability of electronic brake are needed. In this study, the methods to assess the performance of EMB using test bench are proposed. To consider the variable road frictions, the test bench was designed to change the mechanical mass inertia in 3 steps. The road frictions are also considered in 3 steps such as high, middle and low μ. The braking tests are conducted in test bench for these road frictions using the physical mass inertias corresponding the road frictions. Then the test results are verified by compared with the Carsim simulation results.
