The vehicle brakes have been improved and developed over the years.The easy generating of wheel brake force and the variety of vehicle has created a need for a new evolution in the brake system. As this reason, the Brake By Wire(BBW) System has been studied as next genertaion brake system. The BBW’s perfomance is far superior to the conventional hydraulic brakes because it maneuvers directly wheel brake force under the motor control. And BBW is more friendly environment and cycle time reduction in assembly line to compare with conventinal one since there is no hydraulic fluid line. However, It is more complexible and more important to manage and design a lot of kinds software because there consists of many controller such as a Center ECU and 4 Wheel ECUs.In addtion, the softwares on each ECUs need to be operated simultaneously under control periodic domain. The interface design through CAN FD between a Center ECU and 4 Wheel ECUs considers critically the signal define, lengh and communicaiton periodic. In this paper, it presents the proto software design fot BBW and it introduces a proto software architecture, configuration and feasibility. The proposed software is used to find out software requirements and development plans for the future research. the proposed software is verified with HILS and vehicles.

The EMB(Electro-Machanical Brake : Dry type Brake By Wire) sytem is actively researching and developing an Eco-friendly system, where friction braking is directly controlled by electrical actuator installed at each corner wheel.This system is expected to be a faster response brake system than the conventional brake system because it is controlled by electrical signals.However, since there are no mechanical backup devices in the EMB system, it is crucial to ensure functional safety and robust electrical signals.And, To comply with ISO26262 Standard, The EMB system, which has numerous controllers, requires an extensive study that focuses on monitoring failures and developing diagnostic methods. This paper presents a novel approach to developing failsafe logic, using a suggested prototype GUI program based on LabVIEW.This suggested GUI makes it easier for developers to inspect and monitor faults.The software of the EMB system is checked to feasibility first by using the suggested GUI program and The suggested GUI is initially used by checking feasibility the EMB systems software on the vehicle. Subsequently, it is verified by monitoring intented fault injections and the vehicles response.
