酸性 및 監基性色素가 赤痢菌 Phage의 活性에 미치는 影響

The papers reported about the action of dye to bacteriophage are rather few even though the data on bacteria have fairly been found. The author has studied the effect of dye on the dysentery phage and the following results are obtained. Many acid and basic dyes inactivated the activity of phage particle itself and the action of basic dyes, in general, seemed to be more strong than that of acid dyes. The phage inactivating activities of dyes were most strong at 37℃ and, at 20℃ and 4℃, their actions were very weak or negligible. And also, the phage inactivating activities of dyes were not influenced by pH. The phage adsorption to host cell was not influenced by dye (Crystal violet) and the appearance of phage adsorption occurred under the existence of dye was similar to that carried out in normal conditions. The phage particles already adsorbed to host cell were not inactivated by the action of dye and a antagonistic phenomenon between the phage inactivating activity of acid and basic dye was found. The mechanism of the action of dye was discussed.

A magnetic frequency tripler is a nonlinear device that is used to produc third-harmonic frequency output from a three-phase fundamental fre quency source. It gained wide industrial applications recently and its rating for induction heating and melting increased from 50 KW to 10MW range. This paper deals with the tripler employing three 3-legged transformers connected in delta. Because a triple frequency current circulates in delta connection and does not flow into the input line, the input current has very little distortion and the value of it changes very little with the fluctuations of the input volage and the load. Simultaneously, the consumption of iron and copper is about same as of the traditional star-connected circuit. The analysis in this paper is based on the model of an idean lossless tripler and the relations between the saturation characteristics and circuit constants are examined through the experiment.
