Purpose: To explore the Korean care-worker's experience of adaptation for the long term caring of elder patients and to provide nursing intervention data for the satisfaction and better life of the elder patients by appreciating the nature of care-workers' adaptational experiences and lots of their meanings with structures. Method: 9 female care-workers in their ages from 40 to 50 years who have worked at two facilities for old patients in Metropolitan city for 1 year or longer. The interview data are analyzed by the Colaizzi's phenomenological analysis method. Result: As the results of analysis, the following 6 themes have been found out: Being aware of conflict, Being aware of work burden, Being nervous of unstable employment, Self introspection, Feeling of acceptance, Feeling of meaning life. Conclusion: With the increase in number of old related facilities, nurses not only play a key role in caring the old but also manage the care-workers. Thus, it is considered that the results obtained from the present study provides valuable information for both the old patients and their family as well as for the care-workers' by presenting the data about the care-workers' experiences in direct caring.

본 연구의 목적은 고등학생들의 영성과 셀프리더십의 관계를 알아보는 것이었다. 이를 위해 다음과 같이 네 가지 연구문제를 설정하였다: (1) 고등학생들의 영성과 셀프리더십은 어느 정도인가?; (2) 고등학생들의 인적 배경변인(성별, 학교유형별, 종교별)에 따라 영성과 셀프리더십은 차이가 있는가?; (3) 영성과 셀프리더십은 어떠한 관계가 있는가?; (4) 셀프리더십에 갖는 영성의 하위요인들의 상대적 영향력은 어떠한가? 이러한 연구문제들을 해결하기 위해, 본 연구에서는 고등학교 1학년 학생 447명을 대상으로 질문지를 실시하고, 기초통계치를 산출하고, 상관분석을 실시하고, 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하여 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 첫째, 고등학생들의 영성과 셀프리더십은 `보통`보다 약간 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 고등학생들의 인적 배경변인(성별, 학교유형별, 종교별)에 따라 영성과 셀프리더십은 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 고등학생들의 영성과 셀프리더십은 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 셀프리더십에 대한 영성 하위요인들의 기여도는 유의한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 본 연구의 주요 결과에 대해 논의하고, 시사점과 후속연구를 제안하였다. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between spirituality and self-leadership of high school students. To achieve the purpose, three research questions were asked: (1) What is the level of spirituality and self-leadership of high school students?; (2) Are there any differences between spirituality and self-leadership according to personal background variables(gender, school type, religion) of high school students?; (3) Are there any relationships between spirituality and self-leadership?; (4) What is the relative influence of the sub-factors of spirituality on self-leadership? In order to solve these research problems in this study, a questionnaire was administered to 447 first year high school students, and basic statistics calculation, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression analysis were performed as data analysis methods. First, spirituality and self-leadership of high school students were slightly higher than medium level. Second, there were significant differences in spirituality and self-leadership according to personal background variables(gender, school type, religion) of high school students. Third, there were significant positive relationships between spirituality and self-leadership of high school students. Fourth, the contribution of spirituality sub-factors to self-leadership was found to be significant. The main results of this study were discussed, and implications and further studies were suggested.
