[디젤엔진부문] 다기통 LPG 기관에서 배기온도 저감 연구
조웅래(Unglae Cho),최경호(Gyeungho Choi) 한국자동차공학회 2000 한국자동차공학회 춘 추계 학술대회 논문집 Vol.- No.-
The purpose of this study was to investigate about reduction of exhaust gas temperature in LPG engine. A conventional diesel engine was modified to a LPG(Liquified Petroleum Gas) engine that LPG fuel system was set instead of diesel fuel injection pump. Study was performed with measure of exhaust gas temperature by change spark ignition timing, air-fuel ratio and compression ratio. The major conclusion of this work include; (i) exhaust gas temperature is decreased and power is increased with the advanced spark ignition timing and the high compression ratio; (ii) exhaust gas temperature is decreased with lean and rich air-fuel ratio; (iii) finally, one of the important parameters in reduction of exhaust gas temperature is spark ignition timing among the parameters in this study.

The purpose of this study was to investigate characteristics of combustion and exhaust gas temperature with butane and propane fuel in LPG conversion engine from diesel. A conventional diesel engine was modified to a LPG(Liquified Petroleum Gas) engine that LPG fuel system was set instead of diesel fuel injection pump. Study was performed with different compositions of butane and propane such as butane 100%, propane 100%, .butane 50% propane 50%, butane 70% - propane 30% and butane 30% - propane 70% fuel blends. The major conclusion of this work include; (i) MET spark ignition timing was same with different butane/propane fuel blends except butane 1000/0, 1200 rpm condition. (ii) engine torque and power were not influenced by varied butane/propane fuel blends. (iii) finally, exhaust gas temperature was increased by higher engine speed, it also was decreased by maximum 15℃ with different butane/propane fuel blends.<br/>

The purpose of this study was to investigate reduction of exhaust gas temperature in LPG engine. A conventional diesel engine was modified to a LPG(Liquified Petrolewn Gas) engine that LPG fuel system was set instead of diesel fuel injection pump. The research was performed with measure of exhaust gas temperature by varying spark ignition timing. The ignition timing was changed by ECU that was new designed and fabricated for controlling spark ignition timing. The major conclusion of this work include; ( i ) exhaust gas temperature was decreased and power was increased with the advanced spark ignition timing. (ii) exhaust gas temperature was more decreased with controled spark ignition timing by ECU at mid-ranged engine speeds comparing with mechanical distributor.
