We studied 25 cases of patients with anterior knee joint pain without any other knee problems with a isokinetic evaluation technique using Cybex. The results are 1. The peak torques for the knee extensor muscles were decreased statistically 2. The peak torques for the knee flexor muscles were decreased relatively also but not statistically 3. TAE(Torque Acceleration Energy) values for knee extensor & flexors were all decreased from disuse atrophy 4. The torque curve for extensors showed decreased power around 30 degrees of knee flexion

Bat swing motion of baseball players had not been commonly analyzed because of its lower reproducibility and more variables compared to golf swing or tennis service. But it seemed necessary to get the basic kinematic data of bat swing motion, which would be used to improve skills, to prevent injury and to rehabilitate maximally after injury. So, we analyzed the bat swing motion of 7 professional and 7 college baseball players to study the duration of each phase, maximum velocity of body segments and joints and the sequence of maximum velocity generation timing. The results are listed below; 1. The bat swing motion can be devided by 4 phase ; takeaway, stride, acceleration, follow through and the duration of each phase was 0.15±0.10, 0.43±0.21, 0.23±0.08 sec respectively. There was no stastistical difference between two groups. 2. The professional player had higher bat head linear velocity(3023±291.9 m/sec) than college players(2564.1±392.9 m/sec) (p<0.05). 3. The professional player had higher pelvic rotational angular velocity(840.1±405.9 degree/sec) than college players(346.2±147.4 degree/sec)(p<0.05). Conclusively, the professional and college baseball players have similar kinematic data except pelvic rotational angular velocity and bat head linear velocity, which were higher in professional players than in college players.
