This paper presents a implementation of the monitoring program for the analysis of electric consumption characteristics in home appliances, which uses a Labview program from National Instruments Corporation. It is can provide to be easy for small-scale researcher, development groups or individual researcher to analyze electric power consumption characteristics. Also, this paper apply to actual private home and then, analyze result of monitoring and a database result of power quality etc, like the power consumption form, power factor and harmonic which follow season, and time zone. For this measured the apartment where the family which is four lives in the object.

This paper studies Optical Fiber(OF) - LED illuminated display board system for energy saving. The OF-LED illuminated display board system has PV modules, batteries, and charge & discharge system, and dynamic full color display controller. Both maximum power point tracker (MPPT) and constant current & constant current controls (CCVC) are used to govern the charging system. It can be improve the charging efficiency of battery. The objective of this thesis paper is to build advertisement lighting system with OF-LED in to charge a 12-volts lead acid battery by using a field wired PV array. We saved the maintenance cost and developed of advertisement effectiveness. To verify the proposed OF-LED illuminated display board system for energy saving, the detail simulation and experiment results indicate that operating characteristics are verified by experiment with a laboratory prototype in this paper.

Increasing of the nonlinear power electronics equipments, power conditioning systems have been researched and developed for many years to compensate the harmonic disturbances and the reactive power. The main function of power conditioning systems is to reduce harmonic distortions, since extensive surveys quantify the problems associated with electric networks having non-linear loads. The main function of power conditioner compensates the current instead of the voltage. Therefore the inverter used in power conditioner is mostly the current controlled type. In this paper, we propose the power conditioner using photovoltaic system, which is operated by the PRT(Polarized Ramp Time) current control algorithm. The proposed system could also achieve Demand Side Management's function and Uninterruptible Power Supply's function simultaneously. To verify the proposed current controlled inverter for improved quality of the grid, the detail simulation and experiment results indicate that operation PCS, DSM and UPS can be achieved.

This paper deals with stand-alone PV power generation system with charge and discharge controller for the, LED road sign. Main power source of PV system are generally solar cell and battery. Therefore PV system can be classified into variable types in accordance with connection type between battery and solar sell. Mainly used on of them is direct connection type which has advantage such as simple structure and simple controller. To verify the proposed PV generation system for the LED road sign, the detail simulation and experiment results indicate that operating characteristics are verified by experiment with a laboratory prototype in this paper.

A optimal soft switching technique for A/DC full bridge converter is proposed, variable soft switching single stage AC/DC full bridge converter with unit power factor are presented in this paper. Using soft switching, we can reduce a switching losses. As a result, achieving good power factor and achieving a good efficiency. We search a optimal soft switching technique in this paper and to verify the theoretical analysis of the presented AC/DC full bridge converter, a design example is given with its Pspice and Psim simulation and experimental results.

A new ZVT PFC for using 3[KW] power amplifier is proposed. Generally, the single phase diode rectifier has been widely used in the SMPS of the conventional power amplifier. But this rectifier has occurred some problems which are the input power factor and current harmonics. To solve the above problems, in this paper, two topology is adopted. The one is the boost type PFC for improving the input power factor. The other is the ZVT resonant circuit for reducing the switching loss and stress. In this paper, the proposed topology is analyzed and designed to built the ZVT PFC for using 3[KW] power amplifier. In order to verify the circuit validity, finally, the PSPICE simulation and experimental results are presented.
