        활성화 에너지를 이용한 퍼머넌트웨이브모의 손상도 연구

        In this work, the degree of hair damage for permanent wave hair was investigated by measuring activation energy from hair protein isotherm. The virgin hair were damaged by treatment of permanent wave and dried naturally. The hair damage was measured by scanning electron microscope (SEM) image, tensile strength, Hunter’s color value, and activation energy in aqueous solution. The SEM image in the permanent wave hair showed the loose and shifted scale of the cuticle. The hair damage of the permanent wave hair (2.80±0.63) was higher than that of the virgin hair (1.60±0.52) in the morphological damage observed with SEM image. Lightness (L value) of the permanent wave hair (23.7±0.63) was higher than that of the virgin hair (22.2±0.51) in Hunter’s color values (p<0.05), but difference of redness (a value) and yellowness (b value) was not observed. The tensile strength of the permanent wave hair (135.1±2.47g) was lower than that of the virgin hair (148.3±3.16g) (p<0.05). Also. the activation energy of the permanent wave hair (65.2±3.33kJ/mol) was lower than that of the virgin hair (74.9±3.66kJ/㏖) (p<0.05).

        헤어 미용사들의 임파워먼트가 조직몰입에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the present study is to investigate the differences between sub-factors of empowerment and organizational commitment depending on hairdressers` general characteristics (viz, age, career, job title, monthly pay) and analyze the effects of the sub-factors of empowerment on organizational commitment. For this, a total of 310 hairdressers of 126 beauty shops in Gwangju-Jeonnam and Seoul-Gyeonggi-do were chosen through convenience sampling, and then a questionnaire survey was conducted. The valid 277 questionnaires were finally analyzed. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan`s test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression by SPSS 15.0 program. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, depending on career, job title, and monthly pay, ie. the hairdressers` general characteristics, a statistically significant difference was found between the sub-factors of empowerment in hairdressers (meaning, competence, impact, and self-determination) (p<0.05). Second, depending on the hairdressers` general characteristics, a statistically significant difference was found between the sub-factors of empowerment and organizational commitment (p<0.05). Third, the sub-factors of empowerment in hairdressers (meaning, competence, and self-determination) was shown to have significant influence on organizational commitments (p<0.01). In terms of the sub-factor empowerment on organizational commitment, `selfdetermination` was the largest in influence on organizational commitments, followed by `meaning` and `competence.`

        미강(Rice Bran) 에탄올 추출물이 첨가된 천연 비누의 제조 및 관능 특성

        The aim of this study was to identify rice bran ethanol extract (RBEE) and their concentrations that improved the sensory characteristics of natural soap. RBEE was added into natural soap with 7 levels (0%, 0.01%, 0.1%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0%, and 5.0%). Lightness (L value) and greenness (-a value) of natural soap with RBEE in Hunter`s color values decreased, but yellowness (b value) increased as RBEE content increased (p<0.05). The pH of natural soap was 9.42±0.18 at 25℃ and the change in the pH of natural soap by the addition of RBEE was not observed. The effects of RBEE on properties of natural soap were evaluated in terms of sensory evaluation (fragrance, color, foaming, rinsing, moisture, not irritancy, and overall preference). Difference in sensory quality was observed when 2% of RBEE was added relative to the non-additive group (p<0.05). Correlation analysis showed that sensory properties were correlated with most of the sensory attributes studied. Therefore, it is suggested that RBEE can be applied as additives to improve the sensory characteristics of natural soap and the recommended concentration level is 2.0%.

        수용액에서 활성화 에너지를 이용한 모발 손상 척도 개발

        This study was undertaken to analyze the degree of hair damage after measuring activation energy from hair protein isotherm by Lowry method. The virgin hair were dyed and dried naturally and the cuticles were observed with scanning electron microscope (SEM) image to examine the hair damage. The SEM image showed the overlapped scale of cuticle and regular and distinct borders of scale in the virgin hair, but showed the loose, shifted, and shed scale of the cuticle in the hair dyeing. To evaluate the morphological damage of the virgin and dyeing hair observed with SEM image, the level of damage were classified into 5 levels, and evaluated by ten instructors of hairdressing. There were significant differences in hair damage. The hair damage of the dyeing hair (3.50±0.53) was higher than that of the virgin hair (1.60±0.52), but the tensile strength of the virgin hair (148.3±3.16 g) was higher than that of the dyeing hair (132.3±2.62 g) (p<0.05). The protein loss according to time sequence was analyzed quantitatively by the Lowry method after immersion in aqueous solution at 298K, 313K, and 343K, respectively. The protein loss was increased as time passed and increased with temperature elevation in aqueous solution. The amount of the protein loss was more in the dyeing hair than the virgin hair. On the contrary, the estimated activation energy values for protein loss was opposite, the activation energy of the virgin hair (74.9±3.66kJ/mol) was higher than that of the dyeing hair (55.5±3.40 kJ/mol) (p<0.05). In conclusion, it is suggested that the activation energy from hair protein isotherm can be highly useful as degree of hair damage.

        미강(Rice Bran) 에탄올 추출물의 항산화 활성과 티로시나제 저해 활성

        In this study Rice Bran was used for investigating the anti-oxidative activities and skin whitening effects. Rice Bran extract prepared with ethanol. Inhibitory effect of Rice Bran Ethanol Extracts (RBEE) onto free radical generation was determined by measuring DPPH scavenging activities in vitro. Intracelluar oxidation was determined by DCF-DA assay. As a result, anti-oxidant activity is in a dose dependant manner. RBEE showed 94% of free radical scavenging activity on DPPH at a concentration of 500ug/ml compare to control. Human dermal fibroblast (HDF) cells incubated with RBEE showed reduces ROS effectively. The inhibitory action of RBEE on mushroom tyrosinase was revealed. Tyrosinase inhibitory activities of RBEE showed a dose response relationship. RBEE showed 21% inhibitory effect on tyrosinase activity in the mushroom tyrosinase of 20ug/ml and RBEE showed effectiveness in inhibiting L-DOPA auto-oxidation. On the other hand, inhibitory activity of tyrosinase were lower than that of Kojic acid. These results suggest that Rice Bran may prevent skin aging and coloring via anti-oxidative effect and inhibitory activity of tyrosinase.

        미용실 서비스품질이 고객의 감정적 반응과 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향

        This paper investigated the impact of service quality in beauty shops on the revisit intention of customers and conducted an empirical test on its mediated effect on the emotional reaction of customers. The results of the empirical test are described below. In accordance with the analysis of the impact of service quality in a beauty shop recognized by customers on their emotional reaction, the pass coefficient of certainty showed the highest score. This means that the pass coefficient of certainty has the highest impact on the emotional reaction of customers, followed by sympathy, service tangibility and reliability, in that order. Next, for the customers experiencing a positive emotion while being served in a beauty shop, service quality had a significant impact on the intention to revisit. Finally, the emotional reaction of customers played the role of mediator in the relationship between the service quality in a beauty shop and the intention to revisit.

        1% SLS 음이온 계면활성제를 함유한 샴푸가 모발의 손상에 미치는 영향

        Anion surfactant, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) has been used in shampoo for cleaning. Virgin hair which was not chemically treated was collected from the scalp at the back of the head of an 18-year-old woman. The hair damage of the sample hair was measured by putting the sample in the 1% SLS shampoo solution. The measuring areas were chromaticity, tensile strength and activation energy in protein isothermal curve. The brightness L of the sample hair was (22.2±0.51) before being put in the 1% SLS shampoo solution. But after being in the solution, the figure became significantly higher at (23.5±0.54), (p<0.05). This implies that anion surfactant SLS causes hair damage and influences brightness L. The tensile strength of the sample hair was (137.5±4.36 g) before being in the 1% SLS shampoo solution. But the figure became low, (148.3±3.16 g), after being in the solution (p<0.05). This indicates that anion surfactant SLS causes modification in keratin protein and lowers tensile strength. Finally, the activation energy of the sample hair in the 1% SLS shampoo solution was (59.2±4.61 kJ/㏖) 21% lower than that of the sample in the aqueous solution (55.5±3.40 kJ/㏖), (p<0.05). By measuring brightness, tensile strength and activation energy of the sample hair in the 1% shampoo solution to check hair damage, it has been determined that anion surfactant SLS causes damage to virgin hair. Rinsing hair thoroughly after shampooing, not leaving any residue on hair and using hair protection products including rinses and treatments are recommended.

According to the observation of hair cuticle, the cuticles of the virgin hair were regular, close to each other and smooth, but the cuticles of the permanent wave hair after dyeing were shifted and shed. To evaluate the morphological damage of the virgin and permanent wave hair after dyeing observed with SEM image, the level of damage were classified into 5 levels, and evaluated by ten instructors of hairdressing. There was significant difference in hair damage. The hair damage of the permanent wave hair after dyeing (3.70±0.48) was higher than that of the virgin hair (1.60±0.52), but the tensile strength of the virgin hair (148.3±3.16 g) was higher than that of the permanent wave hair after dyeing (126.1±6.28 g) (p<0.05). The protein loss according to time sequence was analyzed quantitatively by the Lowry method after immersion in aqueous solution at 25℃(298 K), 40℃(313 K), and 70℃(343 K), respectively. The protein loss was increased as time passed and increased with temperature elevation in aqueous solution. The amount of the protein loss was more in the permanent wave hair after dyeing than the virgin hair. On the contrary, the estimated activation energy values for protein loss was opposite, the activation energy of the virgin hair (74.9±3.66 kJ/mol) was higher than that of the permanent wave hair after dyeing (39.4±3.88 kJ/mol) (p<0.05). In conclusion, it is suggested that the activation energy from hair protein isotherm can be highly useful as degree of hair damage.

        여성노인의 헤어스타일 행동과 헤어만족

        According to an analysis on differences in aged women`s hairstyle behaviors and hair satisfaction, the following results have been obtained. First, aged women prefer going to a beauty shop to get beauty services. They liked a short hairstyle. When asked about current hairstyles, ``short cut`` was the most responded, followed by ``perm.`` In terms of use cycle, ``45 days`` was most common. When asked about who was influential in current hairstyles, most respondents said, ``my own decision.`` When asked what hair care products they use, ``just shampoo and hair rinse`` was mostly answered. Second, a significant difference was found in the location of hairstyle setting, preferred hairstyle, use cycle, current hairstyle and hair care depending on socio-demographic characteristics. Third, a significant difference was observed in hair satisfaction depending on how they obtain money to cover the cost of living, economic standards, current pocket money, location of hairstyle setting and hair care method. It would be a good idea for beauty shops to use the results of this study as basic data for customer management and customer satisfaction. In terms of beauty services, the results would be useful in providing systematic beauty services to aged women.

      • 확률 계수 자기회귀 과정에서 적률법에 의한 모수 추정과 성질에 관한 연구

        시계열 자료를 해석하는 때에 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 모형은 자기회귀 과정인데, 이제까지는 계수가 상수라는 가정에서 이루어졌다. 하지만, 실제 시계열 자료 분석을 할 때는, 과계수가 상수인 경우보다는 시간에 따라 변하는 경우가 더 많다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 계수가 확률적으로 움직인다고 가정하는 확률 계수 자기회귀 모형에 대해 고려하여, 이 모형에서 미지의 모수들에 대해 적률법을 이용하여 추정을 하고, 그 추정량에 대해 일치성과 중심극한정리를 만족함을 보였다. 또한 추정방법의 효율성을 시뮬레이션을 통해 살펴보고, 실제 자료에 적용하여 유용성을 보았다.
