In the Warmed-up conditions, the amount of hydrocarbon emisson is very high. In order to achieve the reduction of hydrocarbon in gasoline engine, it is necessary to estimate the fuel and combustion product in the emission. Also the intake air flow-rate should be estimated. So in this paper, we will propose a strategy for estimation of air fuel ratio in a Spark Ignition Engine. We determined the mass of air in the cylinder by filling-emptying method, and estimated the fuel in the intake manifold and cylinder by the "wall-wetting-effect".
