        This study aimed at examining university students' interest in etiquette instruction and an etiquette instruction plan and analyzing the relationship between the interests of the content of etiquette instruction and the instruction plan. The results of the study were summarized as follows: 1. University students received a mean of 3.48 point out of 5 in the measurement of their interest in etiquette instruction. Of 16 items on etiquette instruction, language etiquette received the most interest, followed by workplace etiquette, behavior etiquette, family etiquette, funeral rite etiquette, greeting etiquette, school etiquette, dining etiquette, wedding ceremony etiquette, reception etiquette, costume etiquette, festival etiquette, ancestral rite etiquette, public etiquette, birthday etiquette, and a coming-of-age ceremony etiquette. 2. University students received a mean of 3.69 point out of 5 in the measurement of their interest in the etiquette instruction plan. Of 10 items on the etiquette instruction plan, 'The content of etiquette instruction should be applicable in daily life' and 'Instruction place should be equipped with enough practice tools' took joint first place, followed by 'The content of etiquette instruction should be easy to understand', 'The instructor should be a professional etiquette educator', 'Students' opinions should be reflected in the content of instruction', 'Theory and practice were taught in parallel', 'Etiquette instruction-related media should be provided', 'Etiquette instruction-related information or material should be easily available', 'Theories on etiquette instruction should be systematic', and 'A specialized textbook should be used in etiquette instruction'. 3. The analysis of the relationship between the interests of the content of etiquette instruction and the etiquette instruction plan was performed. According to the results, each content of etiquette instruction had a somewhat high relationship with students' interest in the parallel of theory and practice, systematic theories, utilization of a specialized textbook, and easy availability of information/material.

        기독교 선교를 위한 차문화 교육프로그램 개발 연구

        The purpose of this study is to develop the tea culture education program for the propagation of Christianity. The tea culture education program reflects the needs of Christians who answered a questionnaire on the necessity, contents, and methods of the program, and the program was set based on these factors. This program has fifteen sessions and can be classified into three courses such as Hangeoleum (first step), Muksang (meditation), and Nanum (sharing) tea ceremony. The Hangeoleum tea ceremony is the first course for beginners who were initiated into tea culture, and has nine sessions. The Muksang tea ceremony, composed of two sessions-tenth to twelveth session, is the course for meditative prayer for communion with the word and grace of God, taking a cup of tea wholly and quiescently. The Nanum (sharing) tea ceremony. composed of thirteenth to fifteenth session, is the course to improve sociability by practicing neighborliness through devotion and sharing, and it has contents to use the tea ceremony for the propagation of Christianity. This program heightened the interest of participants in traditional culture. Second, the participants acknowledged the importance of etiquette lessons. Third, this program helps cultivate moral character. Fourth, this program helps cultivate interpersonal skills. Christians could have an opportunity to strengthen and improve relations with one another through various tea meetings and tea culture events.

        대학생의 차문화 교육에 대한 관심도 연구 : 대구시 4년제 대학을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study was to analyze university student's concerns on tea culture education. The study tried to present basic materials for the facilitation of tea culture education in universities. The study results were summarized as follows: 1. The ultimate purpose of tea culture education for university students is to help students to purify their sentiments, improve physical and mental health, cultivate their characters, and behave appropriately through teaching tea culture and its etiquettes. That is, tea culture education helps students to create and maintain good relationship with people nearby. In addition, tea culture education also aimed at inheriting and developing traditional tea culture that makes harmony with modern culture. 2. Tea culture educational contents concerned by university students constituted the following 16 items, which were put in order of the students' preference for what they wanted to learn as to tea culture: tea serving, tea drinking, the method of selecting good quality tea, the method of brewing various kinds of tea, making tea snacks, ingredient and benefits of tea, Oriental tea, distinguishing various kinds of tea, manufacturing tea from tea leaves, Western tea, tea substitutes, tea utensils, the history of tea, spirits reflected in tea, exploring tea cultural site, and demonstration of appropriate tea drinking manner. This should be considered when composing tea educational contents. 3. University students concerned that tea culture education include both explanations of theories and practices using adequate tea utensils based on tea culture education experts' useful educational contents to make it easier to understand tea culture. In addition, many of the students also demanded that tea culture education related medium be provided.
