        탈산처리와 CNF 코팅이 열화 인쇄용지의 특성에 미치는 영향

        Deacidification and cellulose nanofibril (CNF) coating were applied to improve the permanence of the aged printing paper and the effects of single or double treatments on the physical, chemical and optical properties of aged printing paper were evaluated. The Ca(OH)₂ deacidification was more effective than other treatments in increasing pH but the water deacidification caused a decrease in pH with the removal of the alkali component present in the printing paper. As a result, both deacidification treatments reduced the physical properties of aged printing paper. However, in the case of CNF coating, the physical properties was improved as the pickup amount increased and it has been found that the appropriate amount of CNF was required to uniformly form a surface layer that affected physical properties. In terms of long-term preservation, deacidification treatment and CNF coating was sequentially applied in order to improve both pH and physical properties but its results were not as good as the results of a single CNF coating. Consequently, it is considered that the pH, physical and optical properties were the best overall improvement by CNF coating treatment alone.
