      • 低品位 螢石鑛의 浮選에 關한 實驗的 硏究

        This experiments were performed to enhance low grade fluorite to high grade one, and to examine the condition of flotation. The experiments were grouped as follows: 1) The effect of particle size on the fluorite flotation. 2) The effect of pH on the fluorite flotation. 3) The relation of amount of pro motor to the recovery and the grade in the fluorite flotation. From the results of this experiments, it was found that: 1) 25.84% sample of crude grade was increased to 85.7% concentrated grade and the recovery was 57.8%. 2) the final products proved the metallogical utilization of fluorite flotation cleaned 1-3 times.

        The kinetics of silver cementation was investigated to obtain silver by acidic thiourea in the ferric sulfate solution. The results showed that the thiourea was found to be the effective precipitant for the dissoluted silver by ferric sulfate. The activation energy was 2.8kcal/mol in the cementation of silver with thiourea. The insoluble silver was clearly identified by SEM and XRD The crystal axis was found to be a=13.55Å, b=13.88Å, and e=16.55.

        The investigation was initiated to the selective separation of sulfide from coal as a fossil energy. The results of cyclic voltamteries for pyrite electrode showed that the oxidation potential of pyrite decreased with increasing PH. The currents, however, were decreased at the same condition. The recoveries of coal and pyrite were more than 98% and 4%, respectively with kerosene of 1∼3 ㎏/ton at pH 9.2 The 5×10^(-3)M TGA as a depressant was effectively depressed pyrite over whole pH ranges At pH 11. especially, the pyrite was depressed 98% with addition of TGA.

        Domestic anthracite contains approximately 0 5-7% of sulfur. When the sulfurs in anthracite burned, occurenced gas may be the cause of air pollution as well and acid rain This study was carried out to remove the sulfur in anthracite using micro column flotation apartments The result for flotation seperation shows that the recoveries of anthracite and sulfur 98% and 90%, respectively whit kerosene 2 - 4kg/ton, sodium meta phosphate 15kg/ton at ph 11 and TGA 5 × 10^(-3)M

      • 저농도 치오요소에 의한 은 이온 착화합물로부터 은의 회수

        The reaction between silver ion and dilute thiourea in sulfate medium solution was investigated. Dissolution of metallic silver by ferric ion can be explained with the electro chemical reaction thermodynamically, the reduction of ferric ion enhance the oxidation of metallic silver in acidic medium by difference of oxidation potential between Fe^(3) / Fe^(2-) andAg^(0) / Ag . By the reaction between dilute thiourea 2×10 ^(3)M/ℓ and silver ion in the sulfate medium solution, the insoluble complex is precipitatated the aueous solution, and the moleculas maybe expressed as [Ag(CS(NH_(2))_(2))_(3)]_(2)SO_(4) or Ag(CS(NH_(2))_(2))So_(4) .

      • 황철석의 전기화학적 거동에 관한 연구

        The investigation was initiated to study the electrochemical behaviors. contact angles and flotation characteristics of pyrite in order to separate pyrite from coal. The cyclic voltammetry results showed that the pyrite was oxidized at the highly alkaline solution. And the ferric hydroxide from the oxidation of pyrite was coated on the pyrite surface to make the hydrophillic. This made the pyride to depression. Pyrite on the cyclic voltammetry test results was oxidized 0.1 volt at pH 4.6, -0.4 volt at pH 6.8,-0.45 volt at pH 9.2, and -0.5volt at pH 11. The flotation treat results showed that pyrite was floated 95% at pH 4.6 in the range of -0.3 volt + 0.2 volt and was floated only 5% at pH 11. Pyrite was depressed from 95% to when l0^-³M thioglycolic acid was added.

        The silver cementation was investigated to obtain dissolution of silver in an acid thiourea solution by metal Zinc. The results showed that metal Zinc was found to be the effective cementation for dissoluted silver. The cementation rate was increased with decreasing Zinc particles size. The silver cementation rate was more than 98% by adding 8g/l of metal Zinc in 100ppm silver concentration. The silver cementation has not only enfluenced by the Zinc concentration, but the amount of Ag[CS(NH_(2))_(2)]^(+)M(2) Concentration.

      • 高質化 구멍탄의 燃燒에 關한 硏究

        As Low caloric anthracite coal briquettes are used mainly for domastic fuel, their demand has largely been increased for last several years. However, it has been found that the recently made briguettes give always us some trouble with the shortage of in feammable time while it's demand time has been restricted as lasting twelve hourse. In this case, we could easily convince that in flammable time is not influenced. only the quality of briquettes, but inlet-air to the furnace. thus, we always give attention to inlet-air with the window attached to, in order to keep to heating time. under burning condition, it can be found the heat evolution of a low caloric briquettes more turned out co gas than high caloric one. In this study upgraded anthracite brequetts were compared with the conventional. one, by the experimentaldeta deta of the quantity of CO gas, combustion temperature and the duration of combustion temperature and the duration of combustion The result of investigation are as follows. 1) The coal briquetts of upgraded anthracite is easier to control in effective use than the conventional coal briquetts 2) The duration of burning is about 1.4time longer than low caloric coal at the same temperature 3) Under the sam condition, the duration of ignition of upgraded briquetts is shorter than that of conventional briquetts by 5/8.

      • 금을 함유하는 황철석으로부터 황비철석 분리에 대한 연구

        The electrochemical behaviors, cotact angle and flotation characteristics of arsenopyrite to the separation of arsenopyrite from pyrite concentrates were investigated. The cyclic voltametry results showed that arsenopyrite was started to oxidize above pH 7 and was chowed the negatively in pH ranges. However, zeta potentials of pyrite over pH 4. Howeve appeared in minus valnes, two minerals cannot be separated in the pH rangs from 4 to 7, but may be separated in the highly alkaline pH ranges. The flotation results showed that the recoveries of pyrite and arsenopyrite were 5×10^(4-)M KEX and 5×10^(4-)M Ba^(2+) at pH10.5.

      • 석탄에 함유된 황철석계면의 전기화학적 거동과 부유특성

        The investigation was initiated to study the electrochemical and flotation characteristics, contact angle of coal pyrite in order to seperate coal pyrite from coal. The cyclic voltammetric studies showed that coal pyrite was oxided under alkaline pH, thereby resulting in the formation of iron hydroxide on its surface. The deposited iron hydroxide was thought to lead coal pyrite depression. The floation treat results showed that coal pyrite was floated 95% at pH 4.6 in the range of -0.3V 〜 +0.3V, and was floated only 7% at pH 11. The selective seperation of coal pyrite included coal, therefore could be from controlling pH and potential.
