      • 두 地點 應答法에 依한 軸方向 分散 모델의 파라메타 決定

        Two-points response method for the parameter evaluation of the axial dispersion model was investigated with tracer response curves obtained from a liquid flow through a vertical cylinderical column packed with ceramic spheres. The analysis of response curves was performed with the exponential approximation of the tail part from the point at which the tracer concentration dropped to 1/3~1/15 of maximum concentration of the response curve according to flow conditions. Model paramenters evaluated through the moment method showed much worse fitness than those evaluated through the transfer function method and the weighted-moment method performed with appropriate range of Laplace parameters. The model parameters evaluated with Laplace parameter in the range of 4≤τs≤7for the transfer function method and 2≤τs≤5 for the weighted-moment method were nearly equal.

        A simplified graphical method for the determination of conversion levels of single and multistage isothermal reactor units, including combinations of reactors of different mixing models-plug-flow, perfect mixed-flow, laminar-flow and partial axial-mixing model is presented. In this article, design equations for each mixing model are represented by means of the appropriate dimensionless input-output variables for chemical conversion in systems identified by irreversible first-and second-order kinetic expressions.

        Two-points response method for the parameter evaluation of the axial dispersion model was investigated with tracer response curves obtained from a liquid phase flowing through a cylinderical vertical column packed with ceramic spheres. The analysis of response data by means of the moment and the transfer function method was fully developed through the linear regression for the parameter evaluation and through the fitness test with hypothetical response curves obtained by model parameters evaluated. The transfer function method performed with appropriate ranges of Laplace parameter has given more reliable model parameters than the moment method performed with the exponential approximation of the tail part of the response curve for the tracer concentration less than 1/20 of the maximum. The range of rsselected for the evaluation of parameters with best fitness in the transfer function method was shifted to higher values with the increase of the dispersion and the best ranges of is for the parameter with best fitness were found to be about 4-6.

        A study was made for the recovery and reuse of ammonia from the purge gas venting from ammonia synthesis loop. This study is based on the fact that about 1 per cent of ammonia of the total production capacity is vented from the refrigeration system with the unconverted synthesis gas mixture, in order to control the inert content in the synthesis loop. 1. The purge gas containing about 7 mole% of ammonia vapor was contacted with water countercurrently in a packed tower, 20″ø×10' high, to make 10 wt. % aquous ammonia solution. 2. The tower exit gas mixture was supplied to the desufurizer furnace and the primary reformer furnace of ammonia plant as a fuel. 3. The aquous ammonia solution was introduced to the scrubbers in the granulation plant where it is neutralized with phosphoic acid to form ammonium phosphates. 4. The recovered ammonia solution could be used in the granulation plant under the following limited operating conditions of the scrubbers:: (1) when the NH_4-PO_4 mole ratio below 0.7. (b) when the specific gravity of the scrubber solution is below 1.560.

        CO shift reaction which is one of most important reaction in the chemical processes is carried out with solid catalyst in the shift converter to convert CO and H₂O into CO₂and H₂. In this work, a simple analytical design equation for the adiabatic shift converter is presented. This equation is derived by the generalized correlation of many kinetic and thermodynamic data available in the literatures, and is applicable to predict the performance of a converter present and to calculate the space velocity and optimum catalyst volume required for the desired performance of a converter to be designed.

        The longitudinal mixing in the flow vessels have been investigated in the liquid phase with aquous KCI solution by the residence time distribution (RTD) curves under the boundary conditions of closed-vessels based on the axial-dispersed plug-flow model. A packed column with sereen cylinders of various dimensions and long acryl tubes of different diameters have been used as flow vessels and an aquous KCI solution was injected into the main liquid water stream as a tracer. The axial dispersion coefficients and Peclet numbers of these vessels have been determined from RTD curves obtained through experiments and they have been correlated with system parameters.

        The residence time distribution curves for the open-and closed vessel conditions of the axial-dispersed plug-flow system without chemical reactions have been investigated and compared with each other. The series solution for the closed system was demonstrated in order to compare its results with those obtained from numerical mothods as shown by Levenspiel and in order to obtain the criteria of its application. RTD curves obtained by the series solution are found to be well fitted to those obtained by numerical methods, but its application is limited in the range of Peclet number less than 30 due to its poor convergence for larger Peclet numbers.

        가중 모멘트 법에 의한 축방향 분산 모델의 해석에 관한 연구

        세라믹 구로 충전시킨 수직 충전층을 흐르는 액상의 역혼합 현상을 두 지점 응답법에 의한 축방향 분산모델을 적용시켜 해석하고 가중 모멘트 법으로 모델 파라미터를 결정하는 방법을 모멘트 법과 비교 검토하였다. 적합도가 높은 모델 파라미터를 결정하기 위하여 응답곡선의 꼬리부분은 지수 붕괴함수로 근사시켰고, 가중 모멘트 법에서는 Laplace 매개변수 s의 범위를 변화시키면서 선형회귀법을 이용하여 모델 파라미터를 결정하였다. 여기서 결정된 모델 파라미터의 적합도는 이 모델 파라미터를 사용하여 산출한 가상응답곡선과 실제 실험에서 얻은 응답곡선을 비교함으로서 검증하였다. 적절한 범위 내의 Laplace 매개변수를 사용하였을 경우, 가중 모멘트 법으로 구한 모델 파라미터가 모멘트 법으로 구한 것보다 적합도가 휠씬 높게 나타났다. The weighted-moment method for the parameter evaluation of the axial dispersion model was investigated with tracer response curves obtained at two points of a liquid phase flowing through a cylindrical vertical column packed with ceramic spheres. The long tail of response curves was approximated by the exponential decay function in order to obtain model parameters of better fitness. The weighted-moment method was performed through the linear regression method applied with different ranges of Laplace parameter. The fitness of model parameters evaluated by each method was determined by comparing the hypothetical response curve obtained from the evaluated model parameters with the actual response curve obtained experimentally. The weighted-moment method performed with appropriate range of Laplace parameter had provided more reliable model parameters than those obtained from the moment method.
