Nowadays, eccentric rotating motors and linear motors are widely used in order to create a haptic feedback in mobile devices. However, these motors have some problems with a variety application of haptic feedback because these motors have a slow response and narrow vibration frequency bandwidth. In this study, the piezoelectric haptic actuator having large vibration amplitude and wide vibration frequency bandwidth is designed. The performance of the designed haptic actuator which is unimorph and both end supporting type are calculated by the dynamic analysis method and the equivalent circuit analysis method. The FEM numerical simulation for the haptic actuator is compared with the calculated results.
