        There are many problems to predict the consolidation settlement on soft ground during the ground improvement period installing the vertical drains and preloadings. In these case, the important factor for the settlement controls are the predicting final consolidation settlement, time intervals also the height of preloading and so on. For these purpose, an observational methods are proposed by several investigators such as Asaoka, hyperbolic, √t method. The Asaoka method almost is coincide with the field measuring data, and the Hyperbolic method is slightly overestimated, on the other hand, √ method does not coincide with field data.

        This paper presents a unique relationship between permeability and void ratio. This relationship is then used for deriving the governing differential equation of consolidation for normally consolidated soils. The most commonly used approximation for clayey soils has been the linear plot of eversus log k. which appears to be applicable to any normally consolidated soil.

        This paper describes the behavior of heaving on the PHC group pile and also introduces the solution for the PHC group pile heaving troubles. The various measures for preventing from the heaving problems of group pile were tried and proved by dynamic pile load test and survey of leveling. According the dynamic pile load test, it was found out that the H bearing pile driving method was the most desirable measure for solving the heaving troubles of PHC group pile. The other test results were analyzed and discussed in the paper.

      • 화강풍화토의 세립분 함량에 따른 함수특성 분석 및 불포화투수계수 예측

        Most of the land areas of Korea peninsula are composed of soil formed from the in-situ weathering of granite and gneiss. Many slope failures in these weathered soils are triggered by heavy rainfall. These failure are characterized by relatively shallow failures that develop to parallel to the original slope. These failures may be attributed to the deepening of a wetting front into the slope due to the rainfall infiltration which results an increase in moisture content, a decrease in soil matric suction and a decrease in shear strength on unsaturated zone. This kind of slope failure is highly depend on soil-water characteristic and unsaturated permeability of covered soil (weathered granite soil). In this paper describe the results of a series of soil-water characteristic curve test with fine content variation of granite weathered soil. Also, the analysis results of unsaturated permeability prediction method was described.

        It was one of the important to be determinded the maximum dry density(Rd max) and the optimum moisture content(W opt.) of soil-cement mixtures for their works if the soil-cement may be applied to Proctor's compaction theory like as general soils. However,this study was investigated to the relation between the maximum dry density and the optimun moisture content of soil-cement mixture by the compaction test and as compared the experimental results with the formula of D.T.Davison by the Atterberg test and mechanical analysis test. The result obtained from the test may be summarized as follow ; 1)To be learned the relation between the Rd max. and the W opt. as following equation 1 Rd max. = ------------------------ 0.013 W opt. +0.35 2)It had more considered to use the formula of D.T.Davison when the Rd max.and the Wopt. were assumpted, because they had been large range of error. 3)To be considered for the theory of soil-cement can be study on the problems of soil engineering.

        Recently, Dyanamic compaction methods are focused on construction site and widely used. But dynamic compaction method induced the damage on the structures. This paper proposed ground vibration criteria due to dynamic compaction monitoring data of soft ground on the dredge, landfill site. 1. According to the monitoring data,ground vibrations frequencys range on 3∼8Hz. 2. A proposed of dynamic allowable vibration criteria is following which refer to monitoring data and Germany criteria considering frequency and structure characteristics. 3.         As to technical principle and detail for the construction of engineered waste containment facilities and the manufacturing of lining materials, our practice has, relied on the imports. In view of the circumstances, It is necessitated to develop new landfill materials of industrials wastes as well as to improve the quality of the conventional landfill materials. This study is aimed to develop liner & cover materials for landfill using industrials wastes.

      • 계측자료에 의한 내공변위 분석에 관한 연구

        In this study, are comparative analysis by inner displacement data measured in generally NATM tunnel. The comparative analysis get in calculated value and measured value by three surveying line inner displacement in five terminal point of tunnel section. The results of study put in practice, suggested approximate formula by congressive analysis in inner displacement of terminal point section carrying out the NATM tunnel. Finally, calculated inner displacement final value have viewed left-line 9.16%, right-line 12.72%, horizontal-line 9.46%. Therefore, the appeared average deflection value is 10.44%, safety ratio is considered 1.1 multiplications. The regression analysis using measured results, could be study and development from the various method will be need.

      • 지오그리드로 보강된 얕은 기초의 지지력에 관한 연구

        This study has been directed to evaluate the effects of geogrid reinforcement in a medium dense sand on the ultimate soil-bearing capacity of a surface foundation.Based on the model tests, the maximum depth of reinforcement and optimum size of geogrid layers to mobilize maximum bearing capacity ratio has been determined.On these tests, the effect of the initial allowable static load on foundation settlement have been determined. Comparison of the settlements of unreinforced and geogrid reinforced sand subgrades for different numbers of load cycles have been made.The test results indicate that use of geogrid reinforcement in sand subgrades improves their performance static loads.

        훅타입 말뚝두부보강 기초의 안정성 평가

        The typical bonding methods which connect steel pipe pile and spread footing is bolted bonding method using +type cover plate for reinforcing a head of steel pipe pile. In this paper, stability of spread footing in pile foundation have been evaluated by loading test of +type cover plate for reinforcing a head of pile and hook type bonding method. The presents results from a series of pilot model test on vertically loaded piles foundation of bolted bonding method and hook type bonding method, pile foundation is identified to safety due to pile foundation exceed 8.5~21% which more than yield stress of steel pipe pile. As the results of horizontal loading tests, peak load of piles foundation of hook type bonding method has estimated in 41.1tonf and it was exceed about 33% which more than pile foundation of bolted bonding method. 강관말뚝과 확대기초를 연결하는 대표적인 두부보강공법은 +자 보강 덮개판을 이용한 볼트식 말뚝두부 보강방법이다. 본 논문에서는 실물 크기의 +자 보강 덮개판을 이용한 말뚝머리 보강방법과 훅타입의 새로운 말뚝 두부보강공법을 적용한 실물크기의 확대기초를 제작하여 연직재하시험과 수평재하시험을 수행하여 말뚝두부 결합부의 안정성을 평가하였다. 실물모형 기초의 연직재하 시험결과 볼트타입 및 훅타입으로 보강된 말뚝기초는 강관말뚝 재료의 항복내력을 8.5~21% 초과하는 것으로 나타나 압축력에 대해 충분한 안전성을 확보하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 수평재하 시험결과 훅타입 두부보강장치의 최대 파괴하중은 41.1tonf으로 볼트타입 두부보강 시험체에 비해 약 33%정도 크게 나타났다.
