Literary works contain various human emotion and historical, cultural background. It is very significant to understand sound recognition and receptions represented in many literary works. This study aims to investigate the sound impression on ancient Korean Sijo( Korean Verse) involved various traditional korean emotion, which were expressed in different situations. Firstly we selected the appropriate Sijo to express sounds, and then classified the sound, analyzed the meaning of recognition to the sound. The number of 297 sounds were classified into 13 categories, and 20 emotional meanings. Especially, 'internal sadness' characterized the korean rooted emotion were more expressed than other meanings and this meaning were symbolized by the sound of wild geese and cuckoos.
음풍경 적용을 위한 도시천변에서의 연출음 도입 효과에 관한 실험적 연구

It is very difficult to reduce ambient noise level in the downtown. The best method is to improve the sound amenity of the districts, considering concept of soundscape. This study aims to survey the effect of introducing sound and masking to reduce the background noise level. We carried out the evaluating test for 18 introducing sounds varied S/N ratio(-5, 0, +5) in the city riverside. In these test, subjects evaluated the sound environment with five bipolar adjective scales. It was evaluated that introducing sounds improved the sound environment, and that S/N +5 dB was very appropriate to mask the background noise. But the hearing level was suggested to be S/N 0 dB or less.
고화질 TV Set의 음향 파워 레벨 측정 및 평가 어휘 선정에 관한 실험적 연구

This experimental study deals with the characteristics of LCD or PDP TV set noise, which are differ form those of CRT TV set. These characteristics are most important for establishing the effective method to reduce noise level, searching for the appropriate exposure level and evaluation method of LCD or PDP TV set noise. This study adopt two measurement method to specify the power level of LCD or PDP TV set noise in anechoic room(ISO 3741) and reverberation room(ISO 3745) . Comparing with each results of the two method, the reverberation room method is more simple in measuring and calculating the power level. And the subjective response test are carried out to select the pair of appropriate adjectives to present the characteristics of LCD or PDP TV set noise. The pair of 17 adjectives are selected from the 168 adjectives which are used in presenting the sound and noise form literature.
공동주택 급배수 설비소음의 주관반응에 관한 실험적 연구

The purpose of this study is to analyze the appropriate evaluation method for the water supply and drain noise of bathroom in apartment and to propose some fundamental idea on its regulation. For this reason, it was studied the acoustical characteristics of water supply and drain noise as modifying the water supply pressure for the washbasins and toilet stools and suggested the optimum evaluation method through psychoacoustic test. As a result of investigation of the levels by evaluating the adjectives and noise sources with 7-step criteria corresponding to each level of plumbing noises and analysis of the correlation between physical evaluation values by comparing the criteria, dB(A), N, and NC, with subject's response, determination coefficient($R^2$) was shown to be relatively fair or higher ranged from 0.65 to 0.92. It is shown that 'Harsh', 'Nervous', 'Unpleasant', 'Distasteful', and 'Repellent' as a second factor are to be appropriate to evaluate plumbing noise. Above these results could be used in basic data establishing KS(Korean Standard) for evaluation and rating procedure and measures reducing these noise.
