Based on the existence of a yield surface and a bound surface which represents the maximum stress state the material ever experienced, a plasticity model is modified to describe the behaviour of metal under nonproportional loadings. This paper is concered with the improvement of a plasticity model of the two surface type for structural steel based on experimentally observed features of 304 stainless steel specimens tested under axial torsional cyclic nonproportional loading condition at room temperature performed by Medowell. The proposed model is verified through an experimental program that includes different combinations of nonproportionally applied forces performed by Lee.
반복하중에 의한 철골부재의 소성힌지 거동에 관한 실험적 연구

Most research studies on inelastic material behavior of steel structures under earthquake ground motions are concentrated on general uniaxial cyclic loading conditions. Very limited attention has been given to the responses of structures subjected multiaxial and nonproportional loading condition. The primary objectives of these experiments are to obtain quantitative information on the cyclic and nonproportional loading behavior of wide-flanged A-36 structural steel, and to substantiate a plasticity model to describe the material behavior under severe earthquake loading condition by using a computer-controlled testing system. The response of W-shaped A-36 structural steel specimens subjected to selected pure bending, pure bending with constant axial loads, and the random nonproportional loadings are examined.
P.E.B 시스템에서 시공상태에 따른 엔드플레이트 접합부의 구조성능평가

P.E.B(Pre-Engineering Building) 시스템은 휨모멘트의 크기에따라 부재형상을 최적화한 변단면부재로 설계 사용하는 경제적인 시스템을 의미한다. 이러한 P.E.B 시스템에서 변단면부재의 접합은 일반 철골접합인 마찰접합이 어렵기 때문에 현장조립이 간편한 엔드플레이트 접합이 사용되고 있다. 지압형 인장접합인 엔드플레이트 접합방식은 국내 P.E.B 시스템의 가장 일반적인 접합방식이며, 이미 그 안정성이 안전하다고 판명되었다. 그러나 이러한 엔드플레이트 접합부의 현장볼트 체결시공에 있어서 엔드플레이트와 변단면보 또는 리브의 용접에 의한 열변형 등으로 인해 엔드플레이트의 수직불량이 발생하여 현장에서 설치된 접합부의 벌어짐 현상이 관측되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 엔드플레이트 초기접합 결함(간격)을 실험변수로 하여 휨모멘트를 받는 엔드플레이트 접합부의 볼트에 대한 허용내력을 조사하여 구조안정성 검토를 수행하였다. P.E.B (Pre-Engineering Building) system means an economical system, which designs and uses optimal section proportion of tapered members according to the magnitude of bending moment. However, it is hard to adjust the friction type bolted joint in the joint of tapered member in the P.E.B system. End-plate connection is mainly used in this system due to that difficulty. Because P.E.B system has end-plate vertical defacts by heat welding deformation, a gap between end-plates and rafter or rib can be observed. In this study, an examination of construction stability was throughly performed and analyzed by the investigation of permissible internal force of bolts in end-plate connections under the bending moment using the end-plate's initial connection-defect (gap).

Background: When using the anterior approach for performing superficial parotidectomy, the first thing to do is to find the buccal branch of the facial nerve and the parotid duct. The buccal branch usually runs transversely with the parotid duct from the anterior border of the parotid gland. We wanted to check the relationship between the two structures during the operation and to get clinically helpful information. Methods: Twelve patients with parotid mass were treated with superficial parotidectomy between May 2012 and August 2012. The outline of superficial and deep lobes of the parotid gland, parotid duct, and the buccal branch of the facial nerve were drawn on the transparent film by tracing the structures intraoperatively. Results: In 7 (58.3%) of 12 cases, the buccal branch of the facial nerve was located more caudally than the parotid duct at the anterior border of the superficial lobe of the parotid gland. In 3 cases (25%), the buccal branch was located more cephalically than the parotid duct. The mean distance between two structures were $2.54{\pm}1.48$ mm. In 11 cases, the parotid duct was located deeper than the buccal branch. Conclusion: The buccal branch of the facial nerve tends to be located more caudally than parotid duct and runs more superficially than parotid duct in all cases. We identified the relationship between the parotid duct and the buccal branch of the facial nerve during the operations on living subjects, not from the cadavers, so it would be a clinically helpful study which supplied more accurate anatomical information.
HSA800 강재의 FCAW 용접성, 용접자세 및 이음성능 연구

본 연구에서는 HSA800 60mm 강재의 FCAW 용접성, 용접자세 및 이음성능을 확인하기 위해 용접자세 1G와 3G에 대한 FCAW 공시체를 제작하여 10종의 시험을 실시하였다. FCAW 1G 및 3G의 시험결과는 HSA800 강재의 KS 및 강도의 균질성에 대한 기준을 만족하며, 양호한 용접부로 나타났다. 그러나 용접부 평판 인장시험결과 FCAW 3G의 경우 용접기술 및 방법의 개선이 필요하다고 판단된다. In this research, 10 specimens of FCAW welding with positions of 1G and 3G were tested to confirm the weldability, welding positions, and welded joint performance of 60mm HSA800 steel. The test results showed that FCAW 1G and 3G satisfied HSA800 steel's KS and the criteria for homogeneity of strength, indicating a good weld zones. However, according to the tensile test results of weld zone, 3G position FCAW welding requires improvement of welding techniques and methods.
