Anti-vibration rubbers in vehicle play an important roles in restrict vibration generated from engine and road. But, degradation occurs when rubber is exposed for a long time to heat, light, ozone and etc. These make the rubber hard and lose its initial properties. The changes of rubber make the N.V.H performance of vehicle worse, and give the discomport to the passengers. To reduce the changes of rubber properties, various ways to increase its heat-resistant property have been introduced. As a part of them, a heat-reflective coating method is studied in this paper. Heat-reflective coat protects the external heat sources, so that degradation of material properties decrease. Therefore, the initial property is maintained and the durability is increased. The test results of coated prototypes show the increase of heat-resistance and mechanical properties of anti-vibration rubber parts.
