        대학교 일반화학과 고등학교 화학 I, 화학 II 교과의 연계성 및 일반화학에 대한 대학생들의 인식조사

        화학은 단계별로 개념이 연계 발전되는 학문 체계를 가지므로 고등학교의 화학 I II의 교육 내용은 대학 일반화학과 연계성 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 현재 고등학교 학생들은 심화 선택 최상위 과목인 화학II를 배우지 않고도 이공계 대학에 진학하는 것이 가능하다. 따라서 이러한 학생들이 일반화학을 수강하면서 얼마나 어려움을 겪는지 알아보기 위해 일반화학과 고등학교 화학교재의 내용 연계성 및 학생들의 인식을 조사했다. 연구 결과, 화학I에서는 일반화학 필수 개념의 약 27%밖에 소개하고 있지 않지만, 화학II에서는 약 62%의 내용이 일반화학과 연계되었다. 전남 M대학의 학생들 중 화학II를 배우지 않은 약 70%의 학생들은 일반화학을 배울 때 상대적으로 더 어려워했고, 학업성취도도 상대적으로 낮았을 뿐 아니라, 화학에 대해 흥미도도 낮게 조사되었다. The chemistry has the academic system in which a concept is jointly developed into the single strain, so the contents of the chemistry I II of the high school are very important in the connection of the general chemistry in the university. At this moment, it is possible for high school graduates to be accepted into science or engineering majors without taking the chemistry II. These the highest intensive election subject cause problems of differences in level of understanding and difficult of quality educations. In this study, we have analyzed similarity between the contents of the chemistry I II and the general chemistry. We also analyzed the cognition level of students without taking the chemistry II in understanding the general chemistry level classes. We found that the high school level chemistry I and II introduced about 27% and 62% of the essential concepts required for the general chemistry, respectively. In a case of M university in Chonnam, about 70% of students in the general chemistry classes have no exposure to the chemistry II in their high schools, causing difficulty of understanding new subjects due to their insufficient concepts for classes. The lack of knowledge caused lowering of learning achievement and decrease of interests in chemistry.

      • Synthesis of Acyclic Nucleosides (Ⅰ) : Acyclovior Analogues

        Some acyclic derivatives of doridosine(1-methylisoguanosine) were synthe-sized for the study of chemical and biological properties. 9-(2-hydroxyethoxymethyl)-6-amino-2-mercaptopurine (1), 1-(2-hydroxyethoxymethyl)-5-alkyl-6-oxopyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine (2,3,) and 1-(2-hydroxyethoxymethyl)-4, 6-dimethyl-2-thiopyrimidine (4) which may possess interesting biological activity were prepared. Bioassay of 1,2,3, and 4 will be carried.

      • Synthesis of Acyclic Nucleosides (Ⅱ) : Acyclic analogues of deoxyguanosine

        Some acyclic analogues of deoxyguanosine were synthesized for the study of the structural elucidation and biological activity. 9-[(1,3-Dihydroxy-2-propoxy)methyl] isothioguanine(1) and 1-[(1,3-dihydroxy-2-propoxy)methyl]-5-alkyl-4-amino-6-oxopyrazolo[3,4-d] pyrimidines(2,3) were prepared by condensation of acetylated bases with 2-0-(acetoxymethy1)-1,3-di-0-benzylglycerol (5). Bioassay of these compounds will be carried.

Thymidine?? was prepared from the cheap starting material, uridine?? by isopropylidenation, hydroxymethylation, bromoacetylation, debromination, and deacetylation.

        Compound 3 is a powerful starting material for the synthesis of 2',3'-dideoxynucleosides which have been found to potent anti-human immunodeficiency virus (anti-HIV) activity in vitro. 3 was stereoselectively prepared from the reaction of 5-O-t-butyldiphenyl -silylribolactone (1) with lithium bis (trimethylsilyl)amide (Li-HMDS) and chlorotrimethylsilane and followed by pheny-lselenium bromide in THF.

      • Photosensitizing Property of Chrysophanol

        The photosensitizing property of chrysophanol was examined. The chemical evidence for involvement of singlet oxygen during the photo-irradiation for chrysophanol was based, with appropriate experiments, on the rapid disappearance of DPBF.         Acyclonucelosides are of interest because of their significant antiviral activities. The acyclonucleoside, R-3,4-dihydroxybutyl-guanine(buciclovir), possesses antiviral activity. 6-Azauracil, a bioisoteric isomer of uracil, has been found to display away of biological effects which include antiviral, antitumor, and antifungal activity. In this work we prepared 1-(3,4-dihydroxybutyl)-6-azauracil.[19]

      • Synthesis of Acyclic Nucleosides by Using Several Lewis Acids

        Generally acyclic nucleosides are predominant to cyclic nucleosides in biological activity and side effect, host toxicity. Therefore several catalysts were tested for coupling agents in the preparation of acyclic nucleosides, but the results were unsatisfied yet. We tested several Lewis acids as the coupling agents between pirimidine bases and acyclic sugar moieties and found that tin tetrachloride is most effective one.

        Solubilization of some carbonyl compounds such as acetanilide, p-diacetylbenzene and tetrabromo-p-quinone was investigated in a variety of reversed micellar solutions by UV spectrophotometric method. In the reversed micellar solutions used cyclohexane as a solvent, the microenvironmental polarity of these carbonyl compounds decreased as DAP> DAB> DAC> DAL By adding water into the reversed micellar solution, the polarity of the site for the solibilizate became higher.
