        Rapid identification of the sensibility of fish pathogens against chemotherapeutic agents is the most important to treat diseases in fish farms. This study was performed to know the relationships between the drug resistance of bacteria isolated from a fish farm water and that from fish. Two hundred and eighty eight strains were isolated from fish (FB) and 293 isolates from water (WB) of 7 fish farms. Five kinds of antibacterial agents were used for the determination of MICs; amoxicillin (AMPC), erythromycin (EM), doxycycline (DOXY), oxolinic acid (OA) and norfloxacin (NFLX). AMPC resistance bacteria were appeared in WB and FB of 6 farms but DOXY or OA resistance bacteria were detected from only 2 farms. Resistance marker of bacteria against antimicrobial agents was showed complex type with 1 to 4 drugs. The drug sensibility patterns of isolates were similar in 28 among 35 experimental cases. Therefore, we suggest that the sensibility pattern of WB to various antibacterial agents was related to the patterns of FB.
