This paper describes stiffness, strength and impact analysis of magnesium alloy steering wheel using CAE tools. In general, magnesium alloy provides opportunities for achieving high performance, low weight, cost effective, and fully recyclable solutions to many engineering problems. Magnesium alloy steering wheel gives good NVH characteristics and energy absorption characteristics compared to typical steel steering wheel. Modal analysis, strength analysis and impact analysis on the steering wheel were performed to certify requirements of NVH, and safety regulations. Low weight and high strength steering wheel was developed through these analysis
