In this paper, the installation method of A/F meter which is used for objective measurement of the characteristics of steering systems is classified into two types, direct and indirect method, and static and dynamic test results are analyzed. Dummy wheel of A/F meter is connected to steering column in direct installation method, and is installed on steering wheel in indirect method. Each method produces different results according to the relative position of geometric center, rotation center and mass center of steering wheel.

Generally, the vehicle dynamics performance is influenced by chassis system. It is hard to make a general and absolute standard that the evaluation about handling and stability performance of vehicle majorly depends on subjective evaluations. In passenger car, according to the load distribution, the change of load in front & rear wheel affect on the vehicle dynamics characteristics such as lateral acceleration, side slip, roll, yaw moment. So, from the initial stage of development, if it is considered that making a boundary for load distribution under the selection of power train & suspension type , it can be a good guidance to materialize the good ride & handling performance of vehicle. So, In this paper, real car test & K&C test and multi-body model simulations are performed to understand the effect on vehicle ride & handling performance from load distribution. The results of each test are compared to analyze the effect of load distribution to vehicle ride & handling performance. Through the understanding of the effect, try to find the way to predict the cornering performance.
소형차량에서 LCA Bush Stiffness 변화에 따른 차량의 운동성능 및 승차감 고찰

This paper aims to explain both ride trend and the effect of elastomeric bushing stiffness of lower control ann to be applied in a small car. Even though many car companies apply hydraulic lower control arm bush as an enabler for better ride comfort over the mid size car., most of small car is fitted with elastomertic bush of lower control arm. It is very difficult to fulfill the good ride and handling performance with elastomeric lower control arm bushing of a small car. So it is necessary to understand relationship between vehicle performance and bush stiffness change of lower control arm. All the results are shown in this paper not only by subjective evaluation but also objective measurement. Also this paper explains which is proper rear bush stiffness of lower control with minimize degradation on Vehicle Dynamics area in the small car. Vehicle performances are also affected both suspension type and characteristics of many suspension components. But those factors are not considered in the paper in order to focus on rear bush stiffness of lower control arm.

Our Daily Driving condition can be divided two conditions one is steady state and the other is transient. Look at our real life driving. How many steady state driving conditions occur? There is no one can answer definitely. Most our driving conditions are transient driving in point of view by change of accelerations. But up to now vehicle dynamics simulation and test were tend to focus on steady state handling performance, So we often met difficulties in correlation steady state handling performance prediction vs. subjective driving evaluation result. To reduce this gap, we focused on transient handling Simulation and Vehicle evaluation. Hence we wrote this paper. Transients are influenced by many suspension parameters. In this paper, we select one parameter only ? Jounce bumper and we are going to discuss this part only. This paper was summarized transient handling improvement history by tuning jounce bumper stiffness and length. First all we establish evaluation guide line for what, How evaluate on transient handling conditions. And Through benchmarking test, we compared suspension performance of recent vehicles. Especially we focus on jounce bumper and we selected best in segment vehicle and we targeted that vehicle for new development vehicle. Jounce bumper tuning sample were used improve transient handling by subjective and objective test, Evaluation. So we can see potential of transient handling improvement by jounce bumper which use prevent impact force of suspension.
