        The current study was conducted to analyze the pattern of willingness to use of a paid senior residential welfare facility in elderly people aged 60 years or older who were residing in Daegu Metropolitan city. A questionnaire study was conducted during a period ranging from January to February of 2009, for which data was collected. Of 956 cases of collected data, excluding those in which there were no responses and those in which there were erroneous responses, 871 were included in a final analysis. Thus, the following results were obtained: 1) Paid Senior Residential Welfare willingness to use depending on general characteristics In elderly people, a willingness to use of Paid Senior Residential Welfare was shown to be relatively higher in male subjects, the educational level of middle school graduate, a previous work of self-employment and paid workers and a poor health status. 2) A willingness to use Paid Senior Residential Welfare depending on the lifestyle According to a willingness to use Paid Senior Residential Welfare depending on the lifestyle, the degree of a willingness to use Paid Senior Residential Welfare depending on the lifestyle was relatively higher in cases of social relationship, self-orientism, active type, data-chasing type, lesiure-chasing type and efforting type. 3) Determinant factors for a willingness to use Paid Senior Residential Welfare Determinant factors for a willingness to use Paid Senior Residential Welfare include social relationship, data-chasing and active type. In the group where there is a willingness to use Paid Senior Residential Welfare, Hit-ratio for a differentiation between the groups was 65.2%.
