In the case of the axial structure design of an EPS motor, it is important to verify the regulatory setting and satisfaction of design factor items that affect motor performance such as torque ripple, cogging torque, friction torque, and vibration while stably supporting the rotating body when driving. In particular, in the case of bearings supporting the shaft, it is of course important to select the type and structure and capacity of the manufacturer, but how to set the installation environment (pressing and pre-pressing conditions, etc.) is also one of the main design factors that can affect performance. Therefore, it means that the designers experience and judgment in consideration of the implementation of assembly optimal performance is very important to assemble elements such as shafts, rotor cores, bearings, pre-pressure springs, and shaft stop rings that make up the motor axis.
