The purpose of this study was to evalualte the seismic performance of RC Moment Frame building according to different building highs and depth. The prototype huildings(hight/width=l, 2, 3, 4, 5, depth/width=O.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.25, 1.5) are designed according to the current design code(KBC 2005) and their seismic performances were evaluated by nonlinear static analysis According to the analysis results, response modification factors of analysis model were increased with increase of building highs due to increase of ductility and were decreased with increase of depth due to decrease of ductility. The response modification factor which is Determined is larger than response modification factor of current code. And the result of seismic performance evaluation based on the capacity spectrum method satisfied an performance levels of collapse prevention.

Purpose of this study is to suggest design procedure which satisfies seismic performance without existing repetitive tasks for mid-high structures with buckling restrained braces. For this, inverted V-type braces are installed in 10-story, 15-story, 25-story structures. And braces are assumed to support all lateral load. Period was calculated by using inelastic design spectrum which consider concept of equal-displacement in long-period structures. Procedure for designing cross section of buckling restrained brace was proposed. It assumed shape function by considering deformed shape of structures, considered effect of higher modes, applied proper distribution of lateral load. To confirm the behavior of designed structure, nonlinear time-history analyses were conducted. For all structures, it showed the results that guarantee seismic performance.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the behavior and seismic performance of tube structures with buckling-restrained braces by the nonlinear static procedures. For this purpose each tube structure which various characteristics are used. And this values used comparative analyze for seismic performance and alleviate shear lag according to the location of brace, it gives basic information to preliminary design of high rise building.

A slab being main part of structure function as the member transmitting not only vertical loads like dead load or live load to vertical members but also lateral load like earthquake or wind load to a shear wall or main frames. The diaphragm action of slab is to play the role of transmitting side loads like earthquake or wind load to vertical members without any deformation. Commercial softwares, such as Midas Gen, used for the analysis of buildings are employing the rigid diaphragm assumption to simply the analysis procedure. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the behavior of structures using the floors modeled as rigid diaphragm or semi rigid diaphragm. Through analyses, after estimating values of the lateral behavior, story drift, natural period, stress condition of the forces of column, we inferred how the behavior of structures using the 100%, 50%, 25% was influenced by the floor stiffness.
