This study was to analyze the correlation of long·short-wave radiation for downtown area and suburban area; the winter and summer seasons in Daegu. Two methods of correlation analysis was conducted : "1) Simultaneous comparison of the real-time method" by observation data and "2) Daily Radiation of rank comparison methods" which was proposed in this study. The results of this study confirmed that two methods of correlation analysis had the effectiveness and suitability.

The objective of this study was to analyze during summer season short-wave and long-wave radiation characteristics between downtown area and suburban area in Daegu. This study was confirmed the regional and monthly radiation environments and it can utilize as basic data for the analysis of the urban radiation environment and the effects of urbanization.

This study observed downward long and short-wave radiant environment with selecting 4 areas which have different height in downtown and 1 suburban area to figure out the characteristic of radiant environment in each altitude. The purpose of this study is to collect the preliminary data for interpreting urban thermal environment in summer season by analyzing thermal characteristic of atmosphere in the upper of downtown. The results of this study are as follows. 1)The higher altitude has the lower temperature, and temperature difference was more huge in day time than night time. 2) The short wave radiation according to altitude was higher as altitude was high. 3) Generally, the higher altitude has the lower air temperature, and also the higher altitude has the lower downward long wave radiation by the atmospheric radiation. 4) The ratio short wave radiation of long wave radiation was lower as altitude was high. And the urbanization effect was higher as the ratio was low.

This study is to perform the effect of urbanization in urban and suburban districts, and to identify regional characters of climate according to the analysis of slope at rise, and descent of temperature, correlation between seasonal temperature analysis, and calculation of degree hour. According to this study, the result is summarized as follows. (1) The average temperature, rated from high to low, consists of residential area, Daegu weather station, intracity, green belt, water-front green belt, and suburban. (2) At the rise and descent of temperature, the result of the slope change of in each point may be one of the useful indexes to be able to perform the regional unique thermal characteristic, including the seasonal urbanization. (3) Although there is a difference between the surface of the earth and ambient environment. The result of the correlation of temperature between summer and winter is that temperature slope in urban districts was higher than in suburban districts, and the difference of slope was unvaried among the four observations in the same city region.

The objective of this study was to compare and analyze for seasonal long·short-wave radiation characteristics between downtown area and suburban area in Daegu through field observations. This study was confirmed the regional and seasonal radiation environments and it can utilize as basic data for the analysis of the urban radiation environment and the effects of urbanization. The followings are main results from this study. 1) The downward shortwave radiation showed the similar value of the radiation generally in the downtown area and the suburban area of the city during the winter and summer season. 2) The longwave radiation showed that the value of the radiation in the downtown area of the city was higher than that in the suburban area of the city during the winter and summer season. 3) The downward total radiation from the upper atmosphere to the floor in downtown area was higher than that in suburbs area during the winter; however, it was not different trends of the two observation points during the summer.
대구 도심과 인근 교외지역의 하절기 복사 성분 특성 연구

The objective of this study was to compare and analyze of radiation environment between downtown and suburban area by observation of short, diffuse and long-wave radiation during summer season. The followings are main results from this study. 1) The trends of long-wave radiation is increasing from May to August and the variation of daily range is decreased. It is confirmed that the temperature was closely relevant to long wave radiation. 2) During observation period, suburban area is higher than downtown the value of direct solar radiation. 3) There are much direct solar radiation in suburban area than downtown. But, it was measured much more horizontal solar radiation at the downtown area. From the this result, we can conclude that diffuse radiation play a important role at horizontal solar radiation.
