        This study was to investigate of Sports of Handicapped people which has been shown through media sport. It is inadvertently recent that the photograph of Paralympic Games appeared to the newspaper in full scale, It was few that physically handicapped person's body was reported at first by the one of the category of "Dissimilation-exclusion". It came to be reported as sports though various bewilderments were shown afterwards. However, the difference with the person who does not have the trouble compelling to make an effort as the follow of one value seen in sports and the only beauty to the basis holds out to the physically handicapped person is emphasized. It is <their value> and there is no society in which it does not live easily in this if it connects with, It becomes a symbol of the weakness by Contect <the wheelchair and the artificial leg>, and it isa production thing of the object and strength of overcoming and <becoming it Ambibarent> existence. It is connected with physically handicapped person's easiness to live to appear to media so that these may symbolize man as various existence.

      • 캡사이신 섭취가 유전성 비만의 혈액 렙틴 농도에 미치는 영향

        The obese Zucker rat has a genetically flawed leptin system and is a model of hyperphagia, obesity, hyperlipidemia, and markedly evevated leptin levels. In order to compare the effects of dietary capsaicin (CAP) on serum and leptin mRNA of brown adipose tissue in genetically obese and lean Zucker rats divided into gruops OV and OC which were medicated with commercial powder feed (CE-2) and CE-2+CAP, respectively, and lean Zucker rats divided into groups LV and LC which weremedicated with commercial powder feed (CE-2) and CE-2+CAP, respectively, were bred for three weeks. During the experiment period, each serum concentration of triglyceride (TG), free fatty acids (FFA), Glucose, insulin, and leptin, and the leptin mRNA of brown adipose tissue were higher with significance in OV and OC than in LV and LC. As for the effect of CAP medication, increase in weight and WAT and the suppression of TG peak were observed in LC and OC rather than in LV and OV, respectively. Moreover, OCshowed the suppression of insulin, leptin, leptin mRNA of brown adipose tissue, and weight and a FFA peak unlike OV. This result demonstrates that CAP prompts the decrease of body fat and the metabolism improvement related to it even in the obesity by the abnormality of the Fa gene.

      • 前房內異物에 關한 實驗的 硏究

        Three types of foreign bodies (0. 05ml of homemade and foreign-made Terramycin ophthalmic ointment, 1.0mg of talcum powder and Biosorb powder, 6-0 twisted silk and 6-0 chromic catgut piece measuring 3mm each) were introduced into the anterior chamber of rabbit eyes. Reaction due to and absorption degree of the retained foreign bodies were observed for three months. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The ointment group, a) The anterior chamber globule was reduced. in size but not completely absorbed. b) Development of secondary glaucoma or loss of the eyeball could be prevented by daily adequate treatment. c) No difference of anterior chamber reaction between homemade and foreign-made ointment was demonstrated. 2. The glove powder group, a) Reaction due to each powder was relatively mild, and milder in Biosorb group than in talcum powder group. b) No granuloma formation could be damonstrated. 3. The suture material group, a) Reaction was mild in each group. b) Silk showed no changes during three months' observation, but chromic catgut was partially absorbed.

        12주간의 운동프로그램이 지역여성노인의 근력, 균형 그리고 골밀도에 미치는 영향

        In this study we investigated the impact of exercise program through the grip strength, the balance and the bone mineral density of elderly women in local community. A total of number 6 elderly women were divided into two groups, the pre-exercise program group and the post-exercise program group. The experimental group participated exercise program during 12 weeks from 6 Sept. to 29 Nov. in 2017, once a week 60 minutes per session. Six participants who participated in the exercise program were tested for physical function and bone density. The results of this study were as follows: There was no significant difference in body composition, height, body mass, BMI, and fat mass, but it was significantly increased in muscle mass (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in left and right hand strength, but it was significantly improved in equilibrium (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in BMD of T-score, Total BMD, Head BMD, Arms BMD, Legs BMD, Trunk BMD, Ribs BMD, and Pelvis BMD but it was significantly improved in Spine BMD (p<0.05). Therefore, this exercise program was found to be effective in reducing the risk of falls and reducing the bone mineral density, especially the decrease of lumbar spine BMD. 12주간의 운동습관이 지역 여성노인의 근력, 균형 그리고 골밀도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위하여 운동실시전군과 운동실시후군으로 나누어 실시하였다. 운동은 2017년 9월 6일부터11월 29일까지 주 1회, 1회 60분, 12주간 실시한 후 운동프로그램에 전부 참석한 6명을 연구대상으로 하여 신체기능 및 골밀도 검사를 실시하여 분석하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 신체구성의 신장, 체중, BMI, 지방량에서는 유의한 차이가 없었으나 근육량에서는 유의하게(p<0.05) 증가하였다. 좌악력, 우악력 모두 유의한 차이가 없었으나 평형성에서는 유의하게(p<0.05) 향상되었다. 골밀도의 변화에서는 T-score, Total BMD, Head BMD, Arms BMD, Legs BMD, Trunk BMD, Ribs BMD, Pelvis BMD에서는 유의한 차이가 없었으나 Spine BMD에서는 유의하게(p<0.05) 향상되었다. 따라서 본 운동프로그램은 균형감각을 향상시켜 낙상의 위험을 줄이고나이가 들어감에 따른 골밀도의 저하, 특히 요추골밀도 감소를 억제하는데 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

        Increasing the percentage of the elderly who are able to lead healthy, independent lives with a high Quality of Life (QoL) is important. The decrease in physical strength in accordance with aging limits activities in everyday life and causes a drop in QOL. In addition, a decrease in muscle strength of the lower limbs and loss of balance are said to be the causes of falls and fractures and, as a result, confinement to a bed. Thus, the performance of physical exercise daily is essential for the elderly to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Conventionally, aerobic exercise was recommended as appropriate exercise to maintain or increase the physical strength of the elderly from the perspective of preventing lifestyle-related illnesses such as diabetes and coronary artery disease. In the official position announced by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in 1978, continuing to perform continuous rhythmical aerobic exercise as possible such as walking, running, cycling, or rowing, using major muscle groups for 20-60 min., 3-5 days a week was recommended. In addition, the official position of the ACSM revised in 1990 stated that, in addition to aerobic exercise, performing resistance training sufficient to maintain or increase lean body mass a minimum of 2 days a week is preferable. In the current research, attention was focused on rowing, which can be expected to have the effects of resistance training, and this study was performed with the objective of investigating the effects rowing exercise has on the aerobic capacity and muscle massmuscle strength of middle-aged and the elderly. For experimental methods, 12 elderly men periodically performing rowing exercises (age 64.8±2.8 years, 'rowing group') and 11 men with no exercise habits who were matched by age and size with the rowing group (age 65.5±3.6 years, 'control group') served as subjects. Maximum oxygen intake was measured by incremental exercise with a rowing ergometer and maximum aerobic power was determined from the regression formula for oxygen intake and output power. In addition, leg extension power was measured as an evaluation of the muscle strength of the lower limbs. Maximum oxygen intake (2.68±0.36 vs. 2.27±0.35 l/min, p<0.05) and maximum aerobic power (192.7±30.0 vs. 163.9±26.8 W, p<0.05) were significantly larger than the control group for the rowing group. In addition, a significant correlation between maximum aerobic power and lean body mass (r=0.68, p<0.01, Fig. 1) was noted. Based on these results, rowing exercise has the effect of preventing a decrease in aerobic capacity and muscle mass of parts of the body of middle-aged and the elderly and the fact that it is effective exercise for health promotion, rehabilitation, etc., of middle-aged and the elderly was suggested.
