Since a social issue due to noises through floor has become more critical, an issue of plumbing noises in the toilet and bathroom that account for 8.6% of the cause for noises through floor is an important problem that should be handled very seriously. In the domestic wet toilet culture, the piping below slab type toilet that the piping equipment is installed on the ceiling of the lower floor has been established as a fixed idea for the toilet system in apartment houses. The piping below slab type has various problems including noises through floor and difficulties in the repair or replacement. Therefore, the same floor drainage toilet and bathroom system has been developed as a counterplan. The purpose of this study is to present the preliminary data for suggesting the developmental direction of technologies in the future by investigating the development process and status of toilet system in our country and analyzing the case technologies specifically from the viewpoint of reducing noises through floor and expanding long-life housing in the development process of same floor drainage toilet and bathroom system. The result of this study is as follows. First, the development process of same floor drainage toilet and the representative products and technologies suggested as phased counterplans were summarized. Second, the performance required for the toilet and the performance standards were investigated and the comparison and analysis standards for same floor drainage toilet were presented. Third, the performance of three technologies suggested as the representative counterplans was compared by carrying out the mock-up analysis and collecting the performance result. The same floor drainage toilet system is classified into two types including the type that the piping is installed above the slab of the relevant floor and the type that piping is installed on the wall, and these two types aim for the same ultimate objective to reduce the plumbing noise according to the noise standards, improving constructability without lowering or reducing slabs and saving costs even though these types are different to each other. The same floor drainage toilet and bathroom can be developed in more various forms in future, and it is necessary to present necessary performance more systematically and the same floor drainage toilet and bathroom should be developed in the direction to satisfy such performance.
근거기반디자인을 활용한 스마트 홈서비스 디자인 방법론에 관한 연구

The medicine field maintains that evidence-based medicine be utilized to enhance heath care efficiency(EBM). This enabled design in healthcare environments to establish qualified design strategy to guarantee the effect of treatment(EBD). As human life is much affected by living environment, it should be very carefully planned. Therefore, for planning housing environment, it is very appropriate to utilize decision-making (EBD) based on qualitative and quantitative data. This research herein aims to derive measures that enable evidence-based design to be applied to smart-home service. Detailed research problems are as follows; (1) Define concepts of evidence-based design, (2) Summarize design methodology of evidence-based design, (3) Summarize information collection methods for evidence suggestion, (4) Collect housing environment information for smart-home service, (5) Discuss smart-home service process development measures. In conclusion, 4 steps of evidence-based design methodology (i.e. information collection, research goal set-up, strategic analysis on research hypothesis-based information, and conclusion inducement) were used to develop a housing smart service design process. This will enable us to suggest service for one-to-one customized, pleasant housing environment and healthy building management.

This study proposed ideas for saving energy used for lighting devices by utilizing an individual"s record of experiences. This paper regards lifestyles as a key element affecting the lighting energy waste. The core idea of this study is to provide a customized one-to-one lighting device control service using life-log data. The results are as follows. First, the collection method and the information structure of the ‘life-log data’ are defined. Life-log data recorded regarding to "5W 1H" information structure. Second, by utilizing the life-log data as an evidence, it has developed smart home service process; ‘situation awareness’, ‘service determined’, ‘similarity check’, ‘data filtering’, ‘decision making’ and ‘lighting control’. Life-log data analysis methods took into account the CBR and RBR. Third, service journey map illustrated the process of data scheduling as case of life-log data in 24 hours in response to the demands on situational service and chance of energy savings. The significance of this study is in improving the satisfaction of residents and providing appropriate services in circumstances by individually controlling all lighting devices installed inside housing.

Lighting is one of the most essential elements in modern style Hanok. It is very important to apply a characteristic of Korean light when planning a lighting design. From this view, this study is describing about variable ways of spatial application through a research of traditional Korean light, which has reinterpreted into modern. The study has some part of process. These are detail issues. Firstly, clarifying the definition of light and explaining about the principles of light. Secondly, explaining about the concept of traditional Korean light. Lastly, discussing about the design principle of modern Hanok. The study has particular conclusion. We develop lighting matrix. It can express the lighting effectiveness of Korean characters, lighting system, the principle of light. Thus, the value of this study is to give suggestions of systematic organization about Korean light for the development and succession of Korean light.

The malfunction of an expiratory unidirectional valve (EV) can cause rebreath of expired gas, barotraumas, or ventilatory failure during the general anesthesia. The following is a report on a case of ventilatoryfailure caused by an EV that failed to open during the induction of anesthesia. A 57-year-old man was scheduled for the biopsy of a vocal cord polyp. After intubation, we could not detect the evidence of ventilation through the endotracheal tube. Suspecting the esophageal intubation, we administered extubation. The patient was still having difficulty in ventilating even after a retrial of intubation. Then we discovered the EV was failing to open properly with ventilation and thus not able to function properly. The common cause of ventilatory failure immediately after intubation is malposition of an endotracheal tube, like esophageal intubation, and equipment failure also has reported. Accordingly, we should remember possible causes of ventilatory failure after intubations and routine conscientious inspection of the ventilator. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2007; 53: 774∼7)
서로 다른 수분율을 갖도록 염수환경에 노출된 복합재 접착체결부의 강도

본 연구에서는 탄소/에폭시 복합재 단일겹침 접착체결부의 염수 수분율이 체결부의 강도 및 파손모드에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 시편은 이차접착 방식으로 제작하였고, 71℃, 3.5% 염수환경에서 수분율 0, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0%(포화상태)를 갖도록 노출시켰다. 수분율별 시편은 각 8개씩이고, 두 종류의 시험환경을 고려하여 총 80개의 시편에 대한 시험을 수행하였다. 시험결과 복합재 체결부의 강도는 수분율이 2%(포화상태)에 도달하면 감소하지만 그 이전 과도상태(약 1% 근처까지)에서는 오히려 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 수분율 1%까지는 고온 환경에서의 강도가 상온 강도보다 2~5% 가량 높게 나타났다. 그러나 수분 포화된 고온 환경 체결부의 강도는 상온 강도 대비 약 5% 가량 저하되는 것으로 나타났다. The effect of moisture contents by salt water on the strength of composite single-lap bonded joints is investigated. The specimens were manufactured in an autoclave by secondary bonding and immersed in the 3.5% salt water of 71℃ for different durations to get various moisture contents; 0, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0%(saturation). A total of 80 joint specimens were tested for 5 different moisture contents and 2 temperature environments. Test results show that while the joint strengths after the saturation of moisture decrease compared to those of dry ones, the strengths of the pre-saturated joint up to 1.0% of moisture content increase in both room and elevated temperature conditions. It is also shown that the strengths of joints tested in elevated temperature are slightly higher than the strength in room temperature by 2~5% until the moisture content reaches 1%. In contrast, the high temperature strength of the saturated joint is about 5% lower than the room temperature strength.
