The pedal operation in automobile is one of the most fundamental and important tasks while driving. A physiological workload can be increased by repetitive actions such as pedal operations. In this paper, we focus on reducing the physiological workload of pedal operations on movements between an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal by measuring Tibialis Anterior(TA), Gastrocemius(GCM), Biceps Femoris(BF), Rectus Femoris(RF) using electromyography(EMG).. We specially investigate on the following three factors for pedal layouts: 1) The angle of the brake, 2) The height of the pedal, 3) The gap between the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal. In conclusion, pedal operations could cause a fatigue of TA, which is closely related to an ankle angle. In order to reduce the ankle angle, the gap between the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal is a critical parameter.

Future mobility can be divided into two main categories: autonomous driving and electrification. In particular, if you look at the self-driving concept car, it features a differentiated seat configuration and layout and a slimmed C/PAD design. In addition, there is a growing need to provide entertainment content for passengers while on the move. The purpose of this research is to study ergonomics in virtual displays in consideration of future mobility trends and autonomous driving environments. In addition, a new package verification for a rear seat seating position related to virtual image viewing is performed. Overall, an optimal layout for the virtual display system is proposed.
