Dynamic simulation program is developed to predict the effect of control logic and parameter in TCU of HIVEC automatic transmission. Dynamic equations describing the torque phase and inertia phase during the shift are derived and solved for power-on 2-3 upshift. Simulation results are compared with test results to validate the feasibility of simulation model. The effect of control parameters, such as, P,I,D gains of controller, the fill time of applying element, initial engagement duty are evaluated theoretically.
