지난 2011년 3월의 후쿠시마 원전 사고시 원자로 건물에서의 연쇄적인 수소폭발이 발생하였을 때 관계자들은 제1원전 4호기의 폭발에 더욱 놀랐었는데 이는 그 당시 4호기는 정기보수를 위하여 원자로내 모든 핵연료를 저장조에 보관중이었기 때문이다. 저장조내 냉각수 유실로 노심에서 옮겨진 핵연료가 공기 중에 노출되어 수소가 발생하고 임계가 도달하였다면 더욱 심각할 수도 있기 때문이었는데 다행히 추후에 양호한 냉각수 상태가 확인되어 우려할 상황을 피할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 후쿠시마 원전 사고를 계기로 국내 원자력 발전소내 핵연료 임시 저장시설의 안전성과 관련하여 중대사고 관점에서 검토해 보고자 한다. When the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident occurred in March of 2011, a hydrogen explosion in the reactor building at the 4th unit of Fukushima plants led to a big surprise because the full core of the unit 4 reactor had been moved and stored underwater at the spent nuclear fuel storage pool for periodic maintenance. It was because the possible criticality in the fuel storage pool by coolant loss may yield more severe situation than the similar accident happened inside the reactor vessel. Fortunately, it was assured to be evitable to an anxious situation by a look of water filled in the storage pool later. In the paper, the safety state of the spent fuel storage pool and rack structures of the domestic nuclear plants would be roughly reviewed and compared with the Fukushima plant case by engineering viewpoint of potential severe accidents.

Electronic products are seriously damaged due to external impact of distribution process. Thus, electronic products are necessary to cushioning package. Cushioning packages are often used by EPS(expanded Polystyrene). EPS(Expanded Polystyrene) are used for cushioning package of electronic products. In this study, Design parameters of actual used cushioning package of LCD monitor are selected and performed to investigate the dynamic behavior by finite element analysis. ABAQUS/Explicit is used by the finite element analysis. As a result, the solution are compared by using design of experiment, and then optimal design parameters are derived.
내충격성을 고려한 사용후연료 수송용기 내부구조물의 설계 연구

A simple preliminary analysis is often useful to check a validity of design alternatives before the detailed analysis phase in the viewpoint of efficiency. This paper describes a preliminary analysis procedure for the selection among basket design candidates for the spent fuel shipping cask of Korean standard nuclear power plant. As the cask should maintain the structural integrity in hypothetical accident condition, the case of 9 m drop is significantly considered as the worst scenario among the accident conditions in structural design viewpoint in this paper. As basket design options, totally four different types are considered and analyzed in the point of structural integrity at drop impact and weldability for fabrication. As a result, an insertion round plate type with densely spaced supports turns out to be the best in both of the viewpoints, though the weld plate type shows a bit more design margin.
