The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Taekwondo training on body composition, physical activity and peer relationship in children dependent on smartphones. Twenty-four children dependent on smartphones were assigned in Taekwondo group (n=12), and control group (n=12). The Taekwondo training program consisted of program 60min/session, 3 days each week for 12 weeks. The results of this study were as follow: 1. In body composition, body mass index(p=.010) had a statistically significant. 2. In PAPS physical fitness and daily physical activity, pacer(p=.000), total flexibility(p=.000), modified curl-up(p=.000), 50m run(p=.000), standing long jump(p=.000), MVPA(p=.000), step count(p=.000) had a statistically significant. 3. In peer relationship and smartphone usage levels, confidence(p=.013), respect(p=.000), peer relationship(p=.000), smartphone usage levels(p=.001) had a statistically significant. These findings suggest that Taekwondo training may represent an effective intervention strategy for improving body composition and PAPS physical fitness and daily physical activity in children dependent on smartphones.
