        흡음과 확산을 고려한 알루미늄 프로파일의 음향특성 연구

        To control the room acoustics of a multipurpose hall, finishing materials that can control the absorption and diffusion properties are needed. This study uses aluminum profiles to investigate the sound absorption and diffusion properties as air space increases in differing diffusion forms. Sound absorption coefficient was measured using the impedance tube method and reverberation room method. Also, the scattering coefficients depending on the aluminum profiles were measured in a scaled reverberation room (1/5 scale). The impedance tube method sound absorption coefficient increased in the low-mid frequency ranges (800-100 ㎐) where the aluminum profile and the increase in air space acted as a resonance type absorber. The sound absorption coefficient measured by the reverberation room method increased in the low-mid frequency ranges (630-800 ㎐), which is lower than the resonant frequency, as the back air space was increased from 40 ㎜ to 150 ㎜. Air space increases sound absorption in the frequency ranges over the resonant frequency (2000-4000 ㎐), and also decreases the difference in sound absorption coefficients in various frequencies. Scattering coefficient was over 0.5-0.65, similar to the scattering coefficient at high frequency ranges (over 2000 ㎐) in a semi-sphere. Therefore, it shows that Aluminum Profiles are effective as profile acoustical diffusers when considering both absorption and scattering performances.

        1:25 축소모형 홀에서 확산체의 설치부위에 따른 실내 음향지표의 변화

        본 연구는 확산체의 확산계수 측정결과를 바탕으로 확산체의 설치가 홀 내부 음장분포에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보았다. 오케스트라쉘이 설치된 600석 규모의 축소모형 홀을 측정대상으로 이용하였다. 잔향실법 흡음률 측정을 통해 1: 25 축소모형의 벽체와 객석부 재료 (관객 및 의자)가 선정되었고, 만석 시 잔향시간을 기준으로 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 대응되도록 제작하였다. 다양한 확산체 부착위치에 따른 물리적 음장의 변화를 측정하기 위해 반구 확산체를 측벽, 발코니전면, 천장 등 부위별로 7가지 조합을 만들어, 확산체 유/무에 따른 음향지표의 변화를 측정하였다. 사용된 음향지표는 잔향시간 (RT), 초기감쇠시간 (EDT), 명료도 (C80), 중심시간 (Ts), 음압레벨 (G)과 더불어 임펄스리스펀스의 자기상관함수 (ACF)로부터 도출되는 Temporal diffusion (TD)을 이용하였다. 실험결과, 확산체 설치에 따라 흠음력과 확산면적이 증가하였고, 이에 따라 평균 RT, 평균 EDT, 평균 G는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 확산체 설치로 인해 초기반사음의 방향전환이 활발하게 발생했고, 평균 TD은 측정 케이스에 따라 6.05에서 6.30의 값을 보였다. 확산체 설치에 가장 민감한 지표는 RT (R = 0.94)로 나타났고, TD와 EDT의 상관관계 (R = 0.73)가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 확산체 설치부위의 영향은 각 음향지표의 변화양상을 통해 논의되었다. This paper investigates the effects of diffuser on the acoustical parameters in music hall with consideration of the result of scattering coefficient measurement. A scale model hall of 600 seats with orchestra shell was used for experiments. The materials of 1:50 scale model was chosen through absorption coefficient measurement based on ISO 354. The model was matched to the computer simulation model in terms of reverberation time. In order to evaluate the effect of diffuser location, the measurements were accomplished with and without diffusers according to 7 configurations by diffuser-installed region; sidewall, balcony front, ceiling and so on. The following acoustical parameters were extracted from each measurement case; Reverberation time (RT), Early decay time (EDT), Clarity (C80), Center time (Ts), Sound strength (G) and Temporal diffusion (TD) from the auto-correlation function (ACF) of impulse responses. As a result, the absorption power and diffusion power were increased with number of diffusers. Accordingly RT, EDT and G were decreased by diffuser and the redirection of reflections was occurred briskly. Averaged TD was 6.05 to 6.30 by measurement cases. RT was found to be the most related factor to diffusion power (R = 0.94). The correlation between TD and EDT was high (R = 0.73). In addition, the effects of diffuser-installed location were discussed in terms of acoustical parameter variation.

        콘서트홀 무대에서 음향지표와 독주 연주와의 상관관계

        본 연구는 무대음향 지표인 ST1을 이용하여 성악 및 기악 연주형태 모두에 대해 독주 연주자의 선호도 모델을 평가하였다. 실험은 오케스트라 쉘이 설치된 팬형상의 다목적홀에서 수행되었다. 다양한 무대 조건을 평가하기 위해 무대 위 15개 지점에서 음향지표의 측정을 실시하였으며, ST1은 -19.9 dB에서 -11.3 dB의 분포를 보였다. 청감평가를 위해 성악 및 기악 연주자들이 현장 연주평가에 참여하였으며, ST1을 기준으로 선택된 무대 위 5지점에서 연주하면서 그 위치에서의 무대음향을 평가하였다. 연주자의 선호도는 5점 척도의 등급평가법과 평가지점간의 순위결정법을 통해 도출하였다 실험결과, 성악연주자의 선호도 모델은 기악연주자의 선호도 모델과 다른 것으로 나타났으며, ST1은 무대 위 연주자의 선호도 평가결과와 잘 맞지 않는 것으로 나타났다. This study investigated that the preference model of soloist performers for both vocal and instrumental types in terms of a stage support parameter, ST1. The test was carried out on a stage of a fan-shaped multi-purpose hall with orchestra shell. Objective measurements were carried out at 15 positions on the stage to evaluate various stage condition. The results showed that ST1 varies between -19.9 and -11.3 dB. Vocal and instrumental players participated in performance evaluation test as they played at 5 selected positions according to ST1 values. Players' preference was evaluated by 5-point rating and rank ordering method. As a result, it was found that the preference model of vocalist is different from that of instrumentalist. It was also found that the ST1 does not correlate well with the performer's preference.

        방송용 다목적 홀에서 배너 가변에 따른 음향 환경 변화

        스피치, 국악, 뮤지컬, 대중음악과 콘서트까지 다양한 장르의 공연이 이루어지는 방송용 다목적 홀의 경우 공연에 필요한 전기, 건축 음향적 요구 조건이 다양하다. 하지만 실제 음향 환경 가변을 위한 효율적인 운용 방법은 많지 않다. 본 연구는 무대 반사판의 설치 유 무와 전기 음향 사용 조건하에서 배너의 가변에 따른 홀의 음향 환경 변화를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 벽체 면적의 15 %에 해당하는 배너를 설치한 실제 측정에서 잔향 시간(Reverberation Time, $T_{30}$)은 최대 0.12 s, 초기감쇠시간(Early Decay Time, EDT)은 0.15 s, 음악 명료도(Clarity, $C_{80}$)는 0.76 dB, 음성 명료도(Definition, $D_{50}$)는 6.43 % 변하였다. 배너의 면적을 확장시킨 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 전체 벽체 면적의 40 %에 해당하는 배너를 설치할 경우 잔향 시간은 0.11 s에서 최대 0.55 s까지 가변되는 것을 확인했다. When used for broadcasting, multipurpose halls need to accommodate various types of programs such as speeches, Korean traditional music, musicals, pop music, and concerts. Therefore, multipurpose halls must meet a wide range of electric and architectural acoustic demands. However, there are few ways to alter acoustic environments for multipurpose halls, given these different demands. The current study investigates the effects of banners on acoustic environments in the presence of an acoustic shell or electric acoustic system. The results indicate that the installation of a 15% banner of wall area could vary the range of reverberation time ($T_{30}$) by 0.12 s, EDT (Early Decay Time) by 0.15 s, clarity of music ($C_{80}$) by 0.76 dB, and clarity of speech ($D_{50}$) by 6.43 % under different measurement circumstances. A computer simulation that enlarges the banner size to 40 % of the wall area varies the reverberation time from 0.11 s to 0.55 s depending on the room environment.

        세종문화회관 소극장 리모델링 음향설계

        The Little theater in Sejong Performing Arts Center is a proscenium theater with 447 seats, which was built in 1978. Acoustical remodeling design of the theater was carried out to improve the acoustic quality in audience area and to meet functional requirements of the theater. Design strategies included use of more reflective surfaces, installation of diffusers on sidewalls and orchestra pit, and side balconies. In particular, sidewall diffusers were designed through measurements of scattering coefficients according to ISO standardAfter remodeling, field measurements were performed to validate the acoustical design. The results was shown that unoccupied reverberation time varied from 0.93 to 1.06 s, and 1-IACC (Interaural Cross-correlation Coefficient) was more than 0.60. It was also found that sidewall diffusers resulted in decreases of COV (coefficient of variation) of early decay time and 1-IACC and increases of and Np (number of peak). Furthermore, the balance, refers to the sound power ratio of the stage and the pit sources, was -0.2 ㏈.

        공간감 향상을 위한 세종 체임버홀 리노베이션 설계의 음향성능 평가

        In this paper, acoustical renovation design process of the Convention Center in Sejong Performing Arts Center for multi-purpose uses from conference to recital was investigated. The area of the convention space was about 612 m2 and it has been used mainly for meeting, symposium and other functional events. After renovation, the Sejong Chamber Hall has 456-seats with a volume of 3,212 m3. Its unoccupied RT was 1.29 s and the average of 1-IACC (Interaural Cross-correlation Coefficient) was 0.71. The leaf-shaped floor plan and tilted side balconies (a slope of 1:10) within 16 m width between side walls were designed to increase lateral reflection. To provide maximized intimacy, the continental style and every-other-row seating arrangement without center isle was planned. The saw-tooth shaped GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) wall reflectors and the protruded rear wall of the stage were designed for spatial responsiveness of the hall.
