본 연구의 목적은 중학생의 개인적 배경변인이 되는 일반적인 특성 즉, 성별, 학년, 담임선생님의 교과, 담임선생님의 교육경력, 거주 지역에 따른 학교생활만족도를 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 전북지역에 소재하고 있는 중학교 1,2학년 318명(남 233명, 여 85명)을 대상으로 학교생활만족도 질문지를 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 학교생활만족도는 학교환경만족, 학업만족, 교사와의 관계만족, 친구와의 관계만족으로 구성되어 있었으며, 분석방법은 측정도구의 신뢰도 산출, T-test, One-Way ANOVA를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 정리해보면, 전북지역 중학생의 일반적 특성에 따른 학교생활만족도에 대한 차이에서 성별은 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으며 학년은 학교환경만족, 학업만족, 교사와의 관계만족에서, 담임선생님의 교과는 학교환경만족, 교사와의 관계만족, 친구와의 관계만족에서, 담임선생님의 교육경력은 학교환경만족, 학업만족, 친구와의 관계만족에서, 거주 지역은 학교환경만족, 학업만족, 교사와의 관계만족, 친구와의 관계만족에서 차이가 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. The objective of the research becomes to observe the satisfaction with school life concerning the general qualities about the personal background knowledge of the middle school students, that is sex, grade, the subject and educational career of the homeroom teacher and dwelling area. The research object is the 1, 2 grade, 318 students (male 233. female 85) that goes to the middle school which is located in the chollabuk-do area. We analyzed the data using the questionnaire about the satisfaction with school life. It was composed of the satisfaction about the school environment, studies, the relations with teachers, friends and the analytical method was used the reliability production of the measurement tool, T-test and One-Way ANOVA. To arrange the result of the research, it showed that there were no meaningful differences between the satisfaction with school life and sex, but there were differences between grade and the satisfaction with school environment, studies, the relations with teachers. Also there were differences between the subject the homeroom teacher and the satisfaction with school environment, the relations with teachers and friends. In addition, we made out that it contained differences between educational career of the homeroom teacher and the satisfaction with school environment, studies, the relations with friends, also differences between dwelling area and the satisfaction with school environment, studies, the relations with teachers and friends.
