To mvestigate the possibility as an orgamc acid treatment m the cultivating Porphyra, 21 species of organic aCld were examined for the chemical characteristtcs, pB , the effect of concentration, dilutlOn, salinity and mixed organic acid. L-, 0-, DL-Aspartic aC1d and Fumaric acid were not soluble m water. O.lM Oxahc aCld has pH = L5E>, th1S value 1S the lowe~, t pH m the examined organic acids. Salt effect was observed m the same concentration of organic acid, that 1S, pH of solution was decreased with mcreasing the salinity of solvent. The linear relationship between pKal and pH was positive and correlation coefficient was r=O.9738. The synergic effect was not observed in the mixture of crtric acrd and oxalic acid. pH variation was slmple with the relatrve amount of each component m mixed organic acid.
