[디젤엔진] EGR이 적용되는 대형 디젤 엔진의 유해배출물 생성에 관한 해석적 연구

The effects of EGR on combustion and emission characteristics of a heavy duty direct injection diesel engine are investigated using a modified KIVA -3V code. The results show that the combustion characteristics, especially the local temperature of the flame and heat release rate, are greatly changed with EGR rate, and it effect NOx reduction and soot emission increment. In addition, it is known that the optimum EGR rate should be determined in each operating conditions, because the trade-off relations of NOx and soot are presented with increased EGR rates.

In a redundant distributed system due to functional safety, etc., the physical distance between controllers may be very close. If the physical distance is close, there is a high possibility of interference between the controller and the connected sensor signal line. To prevent this, SAE J2716 SENT (Single Edge Nibble Transmission) is used, but when a short circuit occurs between physical lines, there is a case where the failure cannot be detected. In this case, an erroneous signal may be transmitted to the controller and pose a risk to the driver. To solve this problem, this paper describes a case study for detecting a failure when a physical short circuit occurs in each controller sensor signal line for the SENT signal of the sensor used in the asynchronous redundant vehicle distributed system controller.

This paper considers the alternative way to mitigate cost for REC instead of Photovoltaic (PV) panels with Energy Storage System (ESS). This study starts from an economic analysis of a 1 megawatt PV system without ESS. Several assumptions have been applied in consideration of the current domestic situation. Based on this result, the economic efficiency of PV with ESS improved. However, the reliance on government subsidies was very high. The alternative way to cover the fluctuation power from renewable energy was reviewed with economical and technical way. In case the natural gas engine applied to PV, the IRR and Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) can be improved without ESS. And if small amount of additional REC, the IRR can be improved up to investment level.
