An experimental study is presented for the contact property of the interactions between road wheel and track link in order to identify the dynamic characteristics of the tracked vehicle along the vertical direction and the loading conditions. The revolving rubber molded track link and road wheels are subjected to the reaction forces from the ground, the traction forces from the engine which lead to the tension, compression, and torsional load as the operational conditions and environment. The dynamic effect of the contact stiffness and damping coefficients between road wheel and track link is illustrated by using experimental methods which can be used to the dynamic simulation of the multibody tracked vehicle.
