Traditionally, the vehicles operated in the warehouse are not controlled by central system because the vehicles are normally operated by the separate drivers. However, as Information Technology advances each vehicle can be controlled by central control system directing the order through handheld terminal. In this paper, we study for vehicle efficiency in a bonded warehouse. It includes the traveling distance and utilization of the vehicles in the bonded warehouse. An algorithm for vehicle assignment considering several factors for vehicle operations in the warehouse is proposed. The simulation study has been conducted to check the applicability of the proposed rule for vehicle assignment. We assume busy period through the test in the system to find that the proposed rule works effectively in hard situation.
