In recent year, Electronic Control Unit(ECU) virtualization is being promoted for testing and validation in standard automotive Software Development Life-Cycle(SDLC). The virtual testing/validation environment contains not only developing virtual ECU but also combining the ECU with plant model for closed-loop simulation. This paper presents the virtual testing/validation environment for Fuel Cell Control Unit(FCU) including the components of a virtual development environment(virtual FCU, plant model, operating environment, tool chain, and etc.) and simulation result. We have modified BSW components as little as possible when creating the virtual FCU. After adaptive time simulation, we have found the simulation speed in the virtual testing/validation environment is 5-8 times faster than that in Hardware-in-the-Loop(HiL) simulation.
