Die slide injection as eco-friendly manufacturing process in the injection molding greatly reduce the cost and time because they can simplify the conventional process through elimination additional process, as well as has advantage of precision, dimensional stability, and completeness as functional device. However, to maximize these advantages, the high-efficiency hybrid system should be applied to the die slide injection. In this paper, how to apply the hybrid system is proposed for precise injection, and through this system, the production process for plastic sealed container is introduced. In addition, new process and conventional process were compared by measuring as follows; power consumption, productivity, and dimensional accuracy. As a result, high-efficiency of the hybrid system was confirmed.
수지밀봉공정을 위한 고속사출에서 다양한 폴리머수지의 특성에 관한 연구

Die slide injection marvelously reduces the cost and time in processing plastic products because they can simplify the conventional process through eliminating additional process. However, this process must resolve some defects like whitening, resin infiltration, blowhole, resin overflow, etc. In addition to, secondary injection process(Resin-Seal-Molding) occur in the high-speed injection. In this study, the process parameters of the injection molding are optimized by using the finite element method and Taguchi method. The injection molding analysis is simulated by employing the Moldflow insight 2010 code and the 2nd injection is by adopting the Multi-stage injection code. The process parameters are optimized by using the L9 orthogonal array and smaller-the-better characteristics of the Taguchi method that was used to produce an airtight container(coolant reservoir tank) from polypropylene(PP) and polyethylene(PE). Meanwhile, the optimum values are confirmed to be similar in 95% confidence and 5% significance level through analysis of variance(ANOVA). Moreover, according to materials (Two kinds of PP, one kind of PE) were compared by measuring the material properties (TGA: Thermo Gravimetric, DSC: Differential Scanning Calorimetry, IR: Infrared Ray). In this way, the applicability of the Die slide injection was confirmed.
