목적관점 키즈카페의 공간특성

As the need for a space where parents and children can get relaxed and spend their leisure time together is increasing, kids cafes which functions as a complex cultural space has appeared. Accordingly, this study examined the trend and settlement of the kids cafes and tried to classify types of kids cafes. From kids cafes which were located in Seoul after 2007, we selected 12 kids cafes by considering time of opened, scale and location of the kids cafe and etc. In this study, we first analyzed the pictures of the kids cafes and then classified by its characteristics and space organization. As a result, kids cafes can be classified in various types. When classified by its object, kids cafes can be classified as play strengthened, restaurant strengthened, education strengthened and complex cultural strengthened kids cafes. The spatial arrangement of kids cafes can be divided into play centered, cafe centered, parallel and separated kids cafes and among those, parallel kids cafes were the most popular type. Parallel kids cafes were most popular among restaurant strengthened and education strengthened kids cafes and cafe and play centered kids cafes were most popular in play strengthened and complex cultural strengthened kids cafes. From the characteristics of spatial arrangement, we learned that the space organization is different depend on the types of the kids cafe. Thus, parents should consider the purpose of the use of the kids cafes and the characteristics of kids cafes when choosing a kids cafes.

콜래보레이션이 적용된 경로당의 공간특성과 이용자 조사연구

This research enforces the space status and user opinion survey through the incident of the recent colaboration applied senior citizen center, and review the effect and direction of the senior citizen center as a complex space through an in-depth interview with the operation director. The study surveyed facility is the first senior citizen center in the nation as a complex space that was installed with a cafe, with its significance as a pilot project that can pursue a composite of various functions in a senior citizen center. Moreover the workshop was setup after its remodelling, allowing a positive reaction from the elderly towards the collaboration work. In terms of cafe utilization, the usage from elderly was significantly low, however it had the merit of providing a place of opportunity for the elderly to gain an income through a job, and create profit that can be used towards maintaining the welfare of the elderly. In the case of problems that occurred due to the cafe were identified as points to consider in remodelling plans for future collaboration of the space, and a reference to the opinion survey on the placement of the cafe and space for elderly has been identified as necessary aspects that should be provided. Since the management period is relatively short, a consistent attention and view over its management status can help further understand the problems and effectiveness, allowing more suggestions to come forth.

키즈카페의 유형별 실내 공간 구성 현황과 특성분석

In today"s society, as the number of dual-earner couples increase, the parents tend to have less time to spend with their children. So, Kidscafe, "one of theme cafes" becomes an excellent alternative for those parents. Kidscafe is recognized as a good place where parents can enjoy leisure and culture with their children and it is on a uptrend since 2000. Thus, this study aims to prepare the base data for the studies on the spatial improvement of Kidscafes in the future through the analysis of interior space by dividing the cases at 5 places built after 2007 by type. With respect to the approach for the study, the framework for analysis was made by the configuration of Kidscafe types and the interior design factors, and then, the expressional characteristics of interior space were analyzed, and the results were synthesized and analyzed by type. As a result, Kidscafes vary in its interior spatial configuration according to its type and the characteristics of each space show differences depending of the type of cafe. Also, most of Kidscafes used the interior design factors that met the preference of infants or children, but the analysis showed that it was needed to improve circulation, safety, sanitary conditions and atmosphere. In addition, it is also needed to set up careful plans for the space for the parents so that not only the infant or children but also the parents can enjoy some rest and leisure. For this, the survey method which can reflect the parents" opinions is needed. This study is limited to the cases at 5 places, but the analysis through more cases are needed to provide the base data through more objective spatial analysis.

키즈카페 놀이공간의 안전을 위한 관련 제도 현황과 과제

With an increase in the parents’ needs for enjoying leisure and caring for their children at the same time, the number of Kids Cafe is increasing, which leads to the increase of safety accidents in Kids Cafe. However, most Kids Cafes are registered as a food service business or general restaurant and thus there are no safety regulations for children. Thus this study was conducted with an aim to review the current system and related laws and regulations, and suggest the improvements of the safety protection system for Kids Cafe and safety information so as to secure the safety of the children using Kids Cafe. The following research approaches have been taken: 1) analyzing the system, laws and regulations of Kids Cafe in Korea by means of literature research,; 2) organizing those systems, ; 3) analyzing the accident cases in Kids Cafe on the basis of the reports of various media press and of the Korea Consumer Agency in conjunction with the facilities in Kids Cafe; 4) suggesting the improvement plans and safety information for the safety protection in Kids Cafe. The results suggest that it is critical that Kids Cafe needs to be registered as the play facilities for children since it include paly facilities even though Kids Cafe, as a food service business, is under the control of “Food Sanitation Law". Furthermore it is critical to let them register themselves under the control of ”Play Facility Safety Management Act“ obligating Kids Cafe to manage the safety in conjunction with the maintenance and operation of play facilities, perform safety eduction and insure its business on the basis of the following grounds: 1) it is essential that the Ministry of Security and Public Administration clearly specify the authorities of the corresponding agencies and the level of their authorities so as to let them inspect Kids Cafes regarding permission and report, safety inspection, safety measures, and safety management, etc., since most Kids Cafes are registered as general restaurants, 2) it is essential that Kids Cafe prepare regular training programs for the management and operation of safe facilities; 3) it is essential to provide parents with the safety information of facilities in Kids Cafe.

독거노인을 위한 공동생활시설의 공간구성과 이용실태연구

This research is about shared living facilities for the solitary elderly in Gyeonggi province (so called “Carnation House”), which was opened after 2013. These facilities aim to help solving the social problems of the growing number of the solitary elderly. The research was conducted from April 2014 to October 2014 by using observation, measurement, photography, and interview methods. This research reviewed floor plan, area, accessibility, visual openness, and furniture and equipments. The results are as follows:First, considering the need for rest area and the protection of privacy, livingroom should at least be equipped with a variable wall or have a separate room. Secondly, for the kitchen plan, considering the fact that large number of people move simultaneously, kitchen entrance should be widened or LDK type is preferable. Thirdly, the bathroom entrance should be widened to at least 800mm and should have barrier free design. Fourthly, porch entrance should be planned to secure enough space and shoe cabinets for multiple users. Fifthly, to allow the users to enjoy outside view, the windows of living spaces should be placed no higher than 800mm from the floor level. Finally, for the location of the facility, people prefer the location be at the center of the village or near home. In addition, location with easy accessibility for the elderly is advisable. Therefore, establishing local guidelines for shared living facilities for the solitary elderly is advisable. When establishing local sidelines, local characters, culture and usage patterns should be considered.

경기도 지역 ‘카네이션 하우스’의 공간현황 및 특성

This study reviews interior space characteristics and indoor environment of the Gyeonggi-do"s Carnation House. Research is conducted by case study of 4 houses and the results are as follows. First, in the case of the porch, all cases have hinged doors and sills so securing sufficient space for the opening is needed. Also lower the threshold is recommended. Additionally, to make taking off shoes more convenient, installing a chair or aids is needed. Widening the door width and removing the threshold are also required. Second, for the room, at least 2 spaces or variable living rooms are required for separation between men and women. Also toilet should be installed in indoor and electrical outlet, switch and cabinet should be installed at proper height considering the physical conditions of the elderly. Indoor flooring should use non-slip material. Third, for the kitchen planning, if possible, securing enough knee space for assistive device users. Sink and cabinet should be installed with consideration of appropriate height. Fourth, the threshold should be removed or lowered overall and installation of floor heating and double windows is required. Also windows need to be installed at the height where seated person can see the entrance and view. Fifth, room furniture need to have variability in space, within a range of physical condition of the elderly, to increase utilization.

키즈카페의 유형별 공간특성과 이용자 만족도 분석 연구

There is a demand for a complex cultural space of play, leisure and education, a kids cafe, which will replace a playground just for kids as awareness for the need of a space where parents can spend leisure time with their own children and can take a rest grows, Thus, this study aims to find features for user satisfying kids cafes by conducting observations of the kids cafes and user survey. This study selected 12 kids cafes, 3 kids cafes per type (play focused, cafe or restaurant focused, education focused, multipurpose focused), in Seoul which were built after 2007 and conducted surveys on space planning and spatial characteristics by users and types and the level of satisfaction. As a result, the play focused kids cafes are used the most and the multipurpose focused kids cafes are used the second most. So the reason for using kids cafes is for the play of children. Also the overall satisfaction level for kid cafes were above the average except for the price. The result of this study showed that there was differences of satisfaction based on the type of user satisfaction, size of children space, finishes, colors, furniture and accessories, sanitary conditions. For the overall satisfaction, users were satisfied with the interior space, however, users were unsatisfied with functional parts, such as toys, foods and educational program. The results of the analysis showed that based on the types of the kids cafes, users" satisfaction rate for space size for the children, finishes, colors, furniture and accessories, sanitary conditions were different and for the functional parts, the satisfaction rate was different in all aspects. Also, in overall, the educational focused type users showed higher satisfaction rate than other users. Finally, the level of satisfaction is different by type of kids cafes and we have to consider the level of satisfaction of the users in order to plan kids cafes which meet the demand of the users.

키즈 카페의 이용자 만족도에 관한 연구

Spend leisure time with your child to relax in the appropriate space by increasing awareness of the need for play and leisure, education, and the functions of a complex cultural space and with the advent of Kids Cafe, is increasing its capital. Thus, this study aims to help the dissemination of the plan for kids cafe interior space intended for user needs by conducting surveys. This study divided Kids Cafe in Seoul to 12 by the type of place and conducted survey of parents to use the place. To find out how difference of satisfied, analyze by divided into categories for questionnaire a indoor space, features, services. As a result, the mainly used type of kids cafe is the Kids cafe to reinforce play. so to find out the high purpose of the visit was for children’s play. The satisfaction of Intensifying education type was higher than in other types of user satisfaction by according to user satisfaction. Items By design, color, finish higher on the satisfaction, health status and satisfaction with the lowest available price for this was identified as in need of improvement. Kids Cafe is different on satisfaction for each, depending on the type, it was found that differences appear. Thus, each type of user satisfaction, considering ways to strengthen it take for the user’s requirements conforming to the Kids Cafe is recommended to be the plan.
