        Non-Verbal Communication Means in Korean, Chinese and Russian Cultures

        The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the fact that it is aimed at replenishing knowledge about non-verbal interaction between people of three cultures – Korean, Chinese and Russian. This paper contributes to disclosure of problems in non-verbal communication in intercultural context. The object of work is process of non-verbal communication between people of three different cultures based on the example of Korea, China and Russia. The subject of the work is content, types, basic elements, specificity of non-verbal communication. During the research the following tasks were performed: - getting acquainted with works of Korean, Chinese and Russian scientists dealing with this problem; - analyzing and explaining importance of basic elements of non-verbal communication; - highlighting the essence of non-verbal communication process; - carrying out comparative analysis of non-verbal means of communication in Korean, Chinese and Russian linguistic cultures. Methods of problem research are theoretical analysis of literature, which highlights the current vision of the problem; comparison of various techniques and elements of non-verbal communication on the example of Korean, Chinese and Russian cultures. The main content of the paper: the introduction proves the relevance of the study. In the first part general information about the process of non-verbal communication is examined. The second part is a comparative analysis of mimic and gestural units of non-verbal communication on the example of Korean, Chinese and Russian cultures. The conclusion summarizes the result got during the research.

        Building Culture Identity through Psychological Techniques in Studies of Korean Language

        The paper addresses peculiarities of building a cultural identity through psychological techniques in teaching Korean as a foreign language. The introduction touches upon cultural identity as a sense of belonging to a particular culture and its essence as a person’s consciously acceptance of relevant cultural norms and patterns of behavior, value orientations and language. The first chapter offers an in-depth examination of secondary linguistic identity as an element of developing communicative competence, defining secondary culture identity as combination of a person's ability to communicate in a foreign language at a multicultural level, which means adequate interaction with representatives of other cultures. This ability consists of mastering verbal-semantic code of the target foreign language in its three elements: language picture of the world of native speakers; developing secondary linguistic consciousness; global picture of the world. The second chapter analyzes some types and functions of psycho-technical training and describes some classifications of psycho-technical training: - by common goals; - by focus on certain mental characteristics; - by the applied techniques and approaches, and on. The main functions of psycho-technical training in teaching a foreign language are defined as: - creating in trainees’ internal visibility, which is necessary for presenting a particular situation in the classroom; - intensive training of lexical and grammatical material under study. The third chapter describes methodology of using group psychological techniques for developing secondary culture identity in teaching Korean as a foreign language in higher school: stages of testing modified psychological techniques for more efficient developing lexical and grammatical skills in teaching Korean as a second foreign language in the university educational process. The complex of psycho-techniques included various types of activities - from simulation to deep "getting into" the local situation and its "living" with significant and deep coverage, and allowed to “unwrap” the received mental experiences and understandings in long time intervals. We estimates the results of the experimental work on testing the complex of psycho-techniques building secondary culture identity of students and improving level of Korean lexical and grammatical skills.

        Cultural Peculiarities of Linguistic Borrowings in the Modern Korean Language

        The article is devoted to the problem of history, ways and means of linguistic borrowings from Chinese, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Kazakh in the modern Korean language. The authors touch upon categories and frequency of using English loan words in Korean. In the Korean language often appear language units composed of English and chinese and other components that have meaning ​​absent in the original language. Many Koreans are not even aware that some of the words they use, have come from foreign languages and firmly entered into the everyday life becoming un-separable vocabulary of the Korean. However, in the development of any modern language we can periodically observe so called “purism” periods (from the Latin “purus” - pure), when all of a sudden everybody begins to fight against foreign language vocabulary, replacing it with native one. Thus, this subsystem of the Korean language substantially drifted away from the English language, and now is developing according to its own laws. So, what happens to the phonetic form of English borrowings when they get into the Korean language? This question applies only to English borrowings and other borrowings from European languages. The paper also suggests approaches to organizing experimental work on analyzing ways of transmitting English borrowings by means of transcription, transliteration, transplantation and tracing.

        An Analysis on the Economic crisis of 2017-2018 in Somali: Challenges and Perspectives on Agriculture Sector

        This paper analysis on the current state of agriculture and livestock sectors in Somalia in post-war reality, and assesses the factors affecting sustainability of the sectors, such as the continuing drought, and the prolonged civil war. The paper also assesses challenges, determines opportunities and presents some remedies for sustainable intensification of agriculture and livestock sectors as a way out of the prolonged food crisis. The socio-economic situation of Somalia predetermines the prospects for the development of the country's agricultural and livestock sectors in the coming year. The economic crisis in Somalia began in 2011, when the drought threatened the lives of 2.4 million Somalis. Over the recent 25 years the country has survived several huge waves of food and economical crises, with the latest one in 2017-2018, as the result of the continuing drought and then the flood, mass famine, when millions of people needed urgent humanitarian assistance, and experienced acute hunger. At the moment more than six million people are facing acute food shortages in Somalia, and most of them live in rural areas where hunger has increased, mainly as a result of losses in the agrarian sector and livestock sector, as well as the destruction of other sources of food and income. The paper considers how the past experience of developing the sectors might contribute to promoting effective remedies and improving the current economical situation in the country. The paper uses data regarding economic, social and political problems caused by the drought and famine in Somalia, utilizing media reports, relevant materials from corresponding studies, government and policy documents.

        Syrian Refugee Issue in Turkey: Socio-Economic and Geopolitical Challenges

        This paper is aimed to estimate the effect of Syrian refugees influx into Turkey since the beginning of the war in Syria in 2011. The data regarding economic, social and political problems caused by Syrian refugees, is utilized by the media reports, relevant materials from corresponding studies, government and policy documents. The influx of Syrian refugees to Turkey is becoming one of the key factors contributing to provoking significant domestic political risks, growth of crime, economic instability such as dumping of wages, shortage of jobs, out flow of capital, inter-ethnic and inter-confessional conflicts, xenophobia, destroying fundamental identity and undermining Turkey’s sovereignty. The policy questions should guide next steps on the Syrian refugee issue: How to maximize the social and economic benefits of the refugee presence for host communities and the Turkish economy as a whole? How to mitigate the potential negative geopolitical challenges of the refugee presence on host communities? How to support refugees to be self-reliant until they are able to return? Our analysis demonstrates that anticipating an escalation of conflicts and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Syria. And the new resettlement not only creates a strain on the Turkish economy, but fuels the existing hotbeds of social tension.

        Socio-psychological Mechanism and Governance Framework of the Cultural Assimilation for Arab Immigrants in France

        This study analyzes how the existing mainstream of French people, who make up the social majority, and Muslim in France, who have already lived there for two or three generations, can coexist together. The paper will examine the status of French Muslim as the largest immigrant group to the French nationality, to allow France, which is more favorable to Muslims than other European countries, to develop tolerance for disparate groups and overcome skepticism as to Muslims’ chance to integrate into French society. From the mid-1980s with the proposed amendment stipulation slate dissection as a way to prevent Magreb immigrants from automatically acquiring nationality, Magrebs were excluded from French society. French society recognizes a multicultural policy and culture to be incompatible with the way France applies traditional Republican principles to seek new contacts in a multicultural and multiracial society that demands coexistence with differences. In addition to expanding the concept of citizenship, the non-religious principles of France should also be more concerned about how they can coexist with Muslims. The Republican principle, as the foundation of French democracy, will continue to be a valid principle in a “de facto” multicultural society. France should be prepared to expand the inclusive aspects of Republican principles, because human dignity is closely tied to the consciousness of being a member of a particular culture. The current barriers to social integration for France pose a governance issues, and the cultural assimilation failure creates new traps by the interaction of those complicated recent Arab refugee issues.

        An Analysis on the Economic crisis of 2017-2018 in Somali

        소말리아에 내전 이후 정치사회적으로 혼란한 상황에서 주요 경제적인 측면에서 농업과 가축 분야의 최근 현황에 대한이 분석을 시도하였다. 그리고 지속적인 가뭄에 따른 농업분야의 지속 가능성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 평가하고, 그리고 장기간 내전의 결과에 대하여 평가하였다. 특히, 식량 위기의 해결방법으로 농업과 가축관리 분야의 지속 가능한 강화를 위한 구호전략의 수립을 제시하였다. 소말리아의 사회 경제적 상황은 근본적으로 농업과 가축 분야의 발전에 전반적으로 의존한다. 소말리아에서 경제 위기는 2011년에 발생한 극심한 가뭄으로 240만명의 소말리아인의 생명을 위협하고 있다. 지난 25년동안 동부 아프리카는 지속적인 가뭄으로 농업이 피폐해졌으며, 2017-2018에서 식량과 경제적 위기의 지속적인 타격에 이어 홍수, 대량 기근에 따른 긴급 인도적 지원을 필요로 하고 있다. 현재 이상 600만 사람들이 소말리아에서 급성 식량 부족에 직면하고 있다. 대부분은 농촌 지역과 가축 분야에서 관리부족과 손실의 결과로서, 주로 기아와 영양 결핍이 증가하고, 전반적인 사회 체제의 파괴로 이어지고 있다. 본 논문은 어떻게 농업부분을 개발하고, 효과적인 구제를 위하여 홍보가 필요하며 정상적인 국가체제를 통하여 현재의 경제 상황을 개선 기여할 수 있어야 한다고 평가한다. 2017-2018년의 자료를 사용하여 소말리아 경제적 도전에 대한 국제사회의 대응에 대한 내용을 중심으로 현재의 문제를 해결할 수 있다고 전제하고, 관련 구호전략 등에 대하여 분석하였다. 특히, 소말리아의 농업과 가축 관리에 대한 현실적인 접근과 관리체계를 중요성을 제안하였다.         Developing Lexical and Stylistic Competence in Bilingual Study of International Class

        이 연구에서는 영어와 러시아어 교육과정에서 이중 언어 학습을 통하여 어휘와 문체 능력 개발에 대한 분석을 시도하였다. 수업 방법의 변화를 통하여 학습 능력을 개발할 수 있다는 전제하에 이중 언어 학생의 그룹에 대한 실험적인 작업을 통하여 어휘와 문체 능력을 개발하는 교육방법을 모색하였다. 주요분석의 관점은 학생들의 언어 및 음성 유형에 대한 실험이다. 일부 학자들은 "언어 스타일" 및 "연설 스타일"을 통하여 학습자의 특성을 차별화하지 않기도 하지만, 본 연구에서는 학습구조와 기능적 측면의 변증법적 통일성에 대한 의문을 갖고, 기능이나 스타일 및 동일한 시대 언어 그리고 음성 스타일에 대한 유형화를 통하여 분석을 하였다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 학습자가 충분히 성공적인 연설이나 작문을 하도록 지원하는 풍부한 문체 능력 개발의 콘텐츠를 포함하는 문체 특성들을 유형화하였다. 이러한 연구를 통하여 기존의 조직화된 교육 시스템과 관계없이 학생들의 목표와 소통의 상황에 따라 그들의 표현에서 다양한 동사의 활용을 통하여 발전된 언어 기술을 습득할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 언어 교육 시스템에 효율적인 개선방법을 제안하였다. The article runs about forming lexical and stylistic competence in bilingual students while teaching then Russian and English. The authors offer teaching system to develop the competence under consideration and describe their experimental work in bilingual students’ groups. One of the questions that causes scientific interest is the question about language and speech styles. Some scholars differentiate terms of “language style” and “speech style”; others do not. Proceeding from the statement about dialectical unity of structural and functional language aspects, we think that functional styles are at the same time language and speech styles. Functional styles (because of their being the largest kinds of literary language) undergo further inter-stylistic differentiation. We have defined some stylistic peculiarities which make content of stylistic competence abundant enough to provide successful speech activity. So we can conclude that without organized teaching system students cannot master the skills of using verb lexemes in their speech according to the aim and situation of communication. We have offered the teaching system which is aimed to efficient using verbs in various speech styles.

        Cultural Component in the Content of Korean Studies and Language Education in Kazakhstan

        The study relevance both by the needs of methodical science in theoretical development of socio-cultural component in teaching a foreign language in general, and the needs of Kazakhstan higher education institutions for textbooks with a focus on "dialogue of cultures", providing for interconnected communicative and socio-cultural development of future professionals. The paper assesses the content of national-cultural component structure in teaching the Korean language to Kazakhstan University students. This study is determined both by the needs of methodical science in theoretical development of socio-cultural component of teaching a foreign language in general, and Kazakhstan higher education institutions’ needs for textbooks with a focus on "dialogue of cultures", providing for interconnected communicative and socio-cultural development of future professionals. The need to address the problem of the socio-cultural and national-cultural component in the content is caused by the new goal of teaching the Korean language, understood as developing students' ability of intercultural communication. The problem of creating an image of Korea, as a native Korean speaker’s country, as well as that of Kazakhstan, has a political sound, since its solution is connected with overcoming a possible barrier between the two peoples, the destruction of obstacles between Korean and Kazakhstan linguistic cultures. Intensification of an adult communicator’s social connections, expansion of his field of activity as a subject of the “cultural dialogue” makes the processes of communication increasingly diverse and intense. This requires improving the structure of a future Korean teacher’s thesaurus (model of consciousness) at all levels of his professional communicative activities.
